www.gofundme.com/PrintThatB_stardA fund has been started, £300 is needed however it's currently on £45. Would love to see it unveiled at our first home game as the teams come out!

Sorry but I think a banner saying "Rovers are back" with Darrell's picture on would be much more suitable. Who cares what the local rag editor in Grimsby does or thinks?

Sorry but I think a banner saying "Rovers are back" with Darrell's picture on would be much more suitable. Who cares what the local rag editor in Grimsby does or thinks? Agreed Martin. I'm sure i'll get called a prude but i'm not all together convinced/happy with how we're portraying ourselves a bit over the last few weeks. We were always known as a "Family Club" and to publicise a banner with this sort of language on is fun for some of us adults but i'm sure some parents etc would find it "uncomfortable" shall we say. It's all well and good for the hardened fan and will no doubt ruffle a few feathers but let's acknowledge our success and embrace it among ourselves, we don't need to invite unwanted attention from others (possibly even the football authorities) our club has had quite enough bad press over the last twelve months. We've prided ourselves in the past on being a little bit better than some of this point scoring and i don't think we need the bad press that will come with it. Personally i think the money could go to better use or to produce a banner with a bit more dignity. Just my opinion. UTG

I didn't set this up. I'm just putting on the forum.
I personally see nothing wrong with it. I understand some people could take offence. Hence why b*stard will be censored. It's only abit of banter.

Don't know how I would go about explaining that to my little lad. It's not about sanitizing our game, its just about protecting and maintaining our clubs battered image. The WDP and Bristol City Evil Post can't wait to stick the boot in.

I'd check with the club too before you waste your money.
Can't imagine they'd allow it to be used anyway.

Just seen that James McNamara has donated a tenner!
Is that James McNamara as the evening post sports writer?

The WDP and Bristol City Evil Post can't wait to stick the boot in. Yep. Agree. He said it - fine; well timed, ascerbic and bluntly witty. The video inevitably got posted - still no problem, that gives a dig in the ribs to a deserving party. But to turn it into something more than that is a bit low brow and grubby for my liking. Perhaps just "print that" would be preferred slightly but ultimately what's the point? Let's be gracious and not classless.

I'm up for more banners and flags but wouldn't want that one. There must be a wittier way to get Darryls moments on a banner without censorship/swearing.

Happy to admit I'm a grumpy twat, but if I had my way the Queen Vic vid, the "Print that" Vid and Matty T pic would never have happened.
It's all jolly good fun I'm sure, but I'm a little uncomfortable with it.

Have to say I think we're better than this. I think it's just an emotional reaction as we've had such a torrid few years but perhaps in a few days time when the dust has settled, this won't seem like such a good idea.

£215 out of £300 in an hour. Clearly you chaps are in the minority.

Slowly creeping up to £300.
Hate it or Love it, nearly £300 in a couple of hours is decent considering some are against the idea!
