Yeah lets turn a bleedin amazing positive into some form of sodding ungracious arrogance. I'm all for some fun, but do we really want to see this? I know bleedin Millwall pride themselves on "No-one likes us, we don't care" but we're better than that bleedin rubbish aren't we. Football's future is a "Family Game" everyone knows it and all this "We're Bristol Rovers - we do what we want" business is starting to tick me off. On ITV the other night they showed clips of our fans at Wembley and one of them was a load of our lot singing just that. Sodding embarrassing. And one more thing, seeing as this bleedin banner is supposed to be put up next season in the ground for all to see, what do we do if Darrell has a bad bleedin start and we're struggling, as we've seen season after sodding season footy fans are a fickle lot of buggers, how long before someone defaces this banner with a huge picture of DC on it ....." Print that Feck off Bastard" and you know they will. My advise , i hope Mr Higgs refuses its use in the ground and seeing as you've got money to burn put it into the sodding club you love ffs! You hope that the club censors a fan-funded tribute to our best manager in years with the remaining proceeds going to the Bristol Rovers Community Project?

Can't think of one then. Righto. What's that got to do with anything? You can't just demand people do tasks for you, and then imply you've won something if they don't do it.

Funny that there are loads of fans enjoying the moment and throwing their money at a banner!
If the club shop had season tickets on sale...............

Only put this up for people who are interested.
If you're against it then don't say anything. Or even better, make you're own banner with a child friendly slogan!

All I'm saying is that I think are taking this too seriously! It's not like the banner will read:
'Fook Off Grimsby you gert fooking Mahooosive lady gardens'
The original quote was from OUR OWN manager!

The club will never allow it anyway so it's kind of a waste of time. But carry on it can be printed without the punchline.

Some people think its ok some don't. It's a public forum and content like that is always going to get mixed reviews.

Our own manager could have behaved a little more professionally. Love the passion, I've missed it. Respect the lads letting their hair down, few beers and celebrate of course. But, I would much prefer some other teams manager to get this press than ours. It smacks of amateur. Looking ahead. How is Darryl to reprimand any player that crosses a boundary later? It's a respect thing.

Well whether you agree with it or not the banner will be made and will be allowed into the ground. It will read 'Print That B*****d'
This wasn't my idea but obviously a lot are in favour as the funds are very nearly in place. I'm interested what you lot think about chants with swearing in at football matches? Should they be banned?

End of the day the club will decide if it can be displayed or not.
My thoughts are that they probably won't

I love the video.
I also think the idea of it being on a banner is pretty funny.
BUT, it's not sensible.
The reality is, it could never be hung up at our ground (or any other for that matter) due to the obvious issue of the language.
For that reason, it's a non-starter.
I totally understand why some don't like it and I don't really want to particularly join in the debate as everyone is entitled to their opinion. Personally, after the stick he was given by the Grimsby Telegraph, I thought the video was absolutely hilarious. Just a bit of fun IMO. That said, I can understand why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Then maybe individuals swearing, players, F##k aftershave? Come on. Darryls thing won't be that funny in a few weeks.

I just made a thread to see if anyone would like to add to the funds. Unfortunately it turned into a willy waving competition...

Just abit of fun! Seasons over and lots of fans still need interaction and togetherness.. Possibley the banner maybe taken round bristol so fans can have there photos taken with it B-) .... Fanbase is generally more united at the mo and lots of room for differing views and personality!!
