Nice touch if the club paid half the cost of the supporters coaches going to the game would be a nice if they gave a free ice cream to everyone at the next home match as well

Because its the furtherst game(?), would be a nice gesture and way to say thank you as our away following has been superb.

To be honest I'll just be happy if he club doesn't go under. In the financial state the clubs in id be worried if they were doing things like this as we surely can't afford it ? I agree it would be a nice gesture though.

Would be a nice gesture to thank us for our incredible away following, and help people financially so they can get to the game

I agree it would be a nice gesture though. Raffle off a signed football or a wembley programme for a pound a ticket before a home game should raise a substantial bit of money

Nice touch if the club paid half the cost of the supporters coaches going to the game would have been nice for Dover. Leicester fans have had free breakfasts [ostrich burger maybe?] , free T-shirts and a £5 food voucher away. And a free beer at home. I'm off to support the foxes.

Premier League clubs set money aside for Away Supporter Initiative which is primarily used to subsidise cost of away travel or tickets.

Ok, but in those cases I think it was just the Chairman doing it to say thank you.

They're part of £1billion tv deal so I think they've got a bit more money than us. If it was a comparable club like Plymouth then fair enough.

Like I wrote, I think they were paid for by their Chairman; nothing to do with TV. He probably has more money than ours, which is fair enough, but there are lots of gestures that don't cost a lot in life.

Last time we did that, Barry paid for all the coaches to Walsall.
We lost 5-0

Last time we did that, Barry paid for all the coaches to Walsall. We lost 5-0 similar with Bobby Gould wasn't it? He got the Directors to pay for free travel and didn't we get slaughtered? It's in the book somewhere, but buggered if I can be arsed to find it. last copy went for bog paper anyway

Unless the BoD pay the costs personally then we have to pay for it somewhere else? As BRFC is hardly making massive profits!

Isn't Hartlepool further?

If the club are paying then they can charter a jet for me and a few select others, otherwise, it's down to driving.
Hartlepool and Carlisle are both nearly equidistant a bloody long way.
At least you can fly to Newcastle and train to both very easily and have a night in Newcastle to boot.
