Exeter a derby? Ok then. (Springs new debate) Did not say local, but still West Country.

As Meadgas said, looking forward to all of them. This time last year would have given anything to be seeing those fixtures.

newport could be a great dayout but the police over there just wreck it....
getting off at the station and being greeted by 30 coppers who direct you to a pub with 15 dogs and 10 riot vans outside means i travel solo for that one....

Speaking for my dad and myself, Wycombe to give them the abuse they deserve, Exeter and Yeovil as they are derbies and Portsmouth as my dad was stationed there. We missed that game last time. Do they deserve abuse though, surely everybody connected with the lightning strike has moved on and it's hardly their fault we couldn't beat Mansfield to stay up? It will interesting to play at Luton again as it seems years since we last played them.

If i'm honest, all the games are roughly the same the last few years. There's only one fixture i want - Bristol City, always has been THE match for me and until we share the same Division it will never quite be the same. Those two matches we used to enjoy regularly are what football is all about...Passion, atmosphere, nerves. People say from both sides " I don't care about them" well i bloody do and i miss playing them more than anything else. Rovers/City, Rangers/Celtic send shivers down my spine and the hairs on my neck stand up. No other games do that for me. totally agree. But when we do face them it's now got silly because it is blown out of proportion. It would take many years of regular football to get it down to a manageable atmosphere IMO. When I started supporting Gas it was a big game of course, but there was also a mundanity about it. Look at some of the derby crowds in the 90's; very low, especially Twerton. We did face them a lot. Crazy fact. Martin Dobson only managed us for 12 games, and 3 of those were losses to VCity!!!!

Yeovil is an awful trip though. Rubbish town, rubbish away end, rubbish treatment by uber excited police for a game with zero history attached. It's also a nause to get to even though it's 45 miles away.

I have my own away game hit list, mainly based on getting my 67 out of the 92 up a bit higher. In reality I'll probably only be able to go to 3 or 4 away matches [family, finances etc] Grade 1 [must have some of these - not been to before]Yeovil. Newport, Notts County, Crawley, Mansfield, Strangely I've never been to Yeovil. Also got a brilliant 'Football by Footpath' route up my sleeve. I still haven't managed to get my Newport ticket yet There are several Northern ones I haven't been to but the ones above are more realistic. Grade 1B Wycombe of course, and I also have an amazing walking route up my sleeve. Grade 2 {good ones, but been to before]Orient, Plymouth, Cobblers, Exeter, & Oxford - also got a lovely walking route up my sleeve for that one, Cambridge- meet an old mate who is a U's fan - we went to loads of matches there, but then they got relegated so not been for about a decade.

Incredibly Southern based lge this season!
Should see some amazing Gas away support, and just as importantly for our coffers, some decent away attendances at the Mem. that could worth quite a lot.

Notts County. Still hate them Never understood the history in that? Explain it to us young'uns? we kicked the ball out of play so they could treat an injured player.... they didn't return the ball to us and scored.... it's probably one of the greatest examples you'd ever see for bad sportmanship, but they didn't break any rules.... goal stood, i think we went down a few games down the line too....
