Last season in the Bananorama we had something of a reputation as a big club, which may have been a help or a hindrance. They might have been worried about our big budget and large support, at non-league level, which perhaps could have given us an advantage. On the other hand, plenty shut up shop and tried to stop us playing.
Who might be worried about playing us next season? Will we still be seen as a big team in League 2 or has-beens trading on past glories like (sorry fishies) Grimsby Town?
I can't imagine Notts County, Portsmouth, Leyton Orient or Oxford being too worried. Will anyone be pooping their shorts as they see the famous quarters run on to the pitch?

I think Portsmouth are spending so much money they'll be sh**ting themselves in every game. The pressure will be on them. I don't really think anyone would be dreading playing us next season really.

I don't think people will fear playing us next season as much as they did during our first season back in L2, for example, but then look how that worked out.
Being feared and seen as one of the big boys in the league did us no favours at all, so hopefully going into the season under the radar a bit more will work for us.
I don't see why we can't be a very strong force next season with a couple of quality additions to the squad. The togetherness, spirit and work ethic was there for all to see last year, and those qualities alone can take you a long way in the lower divisions.

I think Portsmouth are spending so much money they'll be plopping themselves in every game. The pressure will be on them. I don't really think anyone would be dreading playing us next season really. I do not think Portsmouth are in anything like a healthy situation, so agree that the pressure will really be on them.
Although their fans trust or whatever guise it takes means well, I think they are just treading water.

We will have a lot of draws next season then. Because we had a habit of doing that last season only away. we only drew 4 at home. the joint 3rd lowest in the division. the old cliche to 'win your home games and draw your aways and you get promotion' is a cliche because it is true.
