Also, is this confidence in final outcome or just tomorrow? If we win tomorrow Sainsbury will just smack in an appeal!

Spoke to a Sainsbury new build project manager this afternoon. He had no heads up but that the feeling from Sainsbury angle is confident. Says they pay top dollar to represent on these cases. He doesn't think they will buy the ground as they have halted most large new builds over the last few years.
Almost like conning people into contracts then doing a runner ..... should be a law against it, as its constantly being done as we are!!

I guess to risk spending millions on costs our legal team must have thought the case winnable, (Sainsbury's could have just brought the case to drag it out further) as there were no real surprises in our evidence I'm going for another narrow victory tomorrow.

They earmarked the sites with potential etc but the economic climate for those large supermarket chains had altered. Obviously the Lidl/Aldi boys are going to take a chunk now with their model. Unfortunately we are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shame we didn't have our sh** in the sock to push on with an immediate mem rebuild if it falls down.

Talking of Lidl, they are asking local residents what they think of a new store on Muller Road. Will be interesting to see what TRASH make of that.

Thats all well and good but they seem to make a habit of it like it was a very well worked out plan just are we the first to defend the situation?

How long does it take to give a verdict and how do I find out the verdict tomorrow?
I don't want to be refreshing the Gaschat forum for several hours from 10.30am tomorrow morning!

There's a difference between 'earmarking sites' for potential and agreeing to buy the land. And we're hardly talking about Sainsbury's receiving huge amounts of damage by not continuing with these builds, only a move from a 12% return on the build to 7%. Poor them. I can't really defend their actions, bullying tactics throughout and its the same everywhere around the country.

I can't see us winning. No idea what the odds are, since I'd have to see inside Mrs Justice Proudman's brain to know that.
My guess - and it's not a very original one - is that they'll be allowed to walk away from the now-expired contract. But because of their inaction and bad faith, they'll have to pay all of their costs and ours, including the Wonga loan.
So back to square 1 and roll on plan B.

Why tweet that then say he doesn't even know if the Board have been told the verdict in response to another tweet? Like the rest of us I doubt he's a clue what the verdict will be.

My guess - and it's not a very original one - is that they'll be allowed to walk away from the now-expired contract. So she has taken six weeks of presiding over the case and scrutinizing the evidence over and over to then come up with, ' the contract has expired'. Surely if this was the case she would have reached her decision a lot sooner ?
