I can handle not getting the UWE, I have my reservations about identikit stadiums anyway.
I can handle staying at the Mem for the forseeable future
I can handle the board spunking away my (and the rest of the fan's) money running the club like a bunch of muppets, season after season. Budgets in the red, paying for failure. That's football.
What I cannot handle, is my (and everyone elses) money paying for the Wonga loan, the legal fee's, and everything else with this shambles. The clubs financial future has been gambled with a £2m LOAN with £5k a WEEK interest payments. That's all very good if it works, but it hasn't. We should not have to pay for this mess that we didn't get ourselves into. The money we put into the club pays for the players, the manager, a roof over the Blackthorn, a roof over the family terrace. When I signed up to Helpline a couple of weeks ago, it was not to play my part in paying back a Wonga bill, or legal fee's. If that's where the money is going, I will be cancelling it asap.
I really do not know where this board go from here. All I know is that I will not be paying for their mistakes this time, and nor should any of the other fans have to.

Don't worry. There is no debt or loans. Nick puts all his own money into the club.
I read it on here somewhere.

Repaying the loan is not an option.
(I fully agree though, btw)

So we are now paying for brutal defeat. We've spunked millions fighting Supermarkets, lawyers, hippies and Nimbys for nothing...

By my maths, 2.3 million is what the loan will cost us, and that I am sure is a lot less than what we had invested already. Disaster. Simple as that.

The amount of money we now owe is frightening.
BRISTOL Rovers chairman Nick Higgs says that the board of directors had no choice but to take out a high-interest loan if they were to avoid being “starved into submission” by Sainsbury’s.
Rovers took out a short-term loan, believed to be in the region of £2 million with a company called MSP Capital in December, when it was clear their dispute with Sainsbury’s over sale of the Memorial Stadium site was going to end up in the High Court.
The club investigated issues of refinancing with existing partner Barclays to continue funding the legal challenge, which has so far cost the club in excess of £1 million, but were declined.
Instead, Rovers opted to take the loan from MSP Capital at a rate of 1.2 per cent interest per month and will have to repay the full amount and accrued interest by the end of the year.
Thank God Liverpool bought Lambert.

Daniella may get the council to pay for it. Clearly she wouldnt want to see the "war memorial" not being used as a sports venue. As her new role as head of sport and her public stance on the stadium being a memorial for the fallen, its in her best interests that Bristol Rovers are able to afford the upkeep.

She and the rest of the Green f*ckers don't care, they'd rather it be a derelict eyesore than a asset to the whole area!
