I'd imagine he could get a 12 month deal somewhere. I don't see how we've found ourselves in the position to need to offer a trialist from 3 such a feeble deal? DC can't be getting squeezed that much can he? hard to believe isn't it? Mr loan market will be our friend again this year. It helped last year, lines , Dawson LDV etc, so let's keep an open mind for now. Of course it could also produce the likes of Beardsly! The most important one there is an anomaly. We couldn't have got Lines here if he didn't live up the road/have family etc. Therefore we won't be able to replace him from the loans market if he breaks his ankle.

How come people are criticising the budget? Do you know the budget? It will probably be an average league two budget as we can't spend like we used to! I thought we all realised that couldn't continue! DC has his budget and signed a new contract last week knowing all the facts. He is getting on with it as we should. If he uses it wisely there is "no reason we shouldn't achieve a top 7 finish" oh now who said that i wonder!

You can see from the squad and our recruitment that he isn't getting the clout that his ambitions require. He is contracted to get on with it. Poor git.

DC doesn't seem depressed about his budget or his lot. He was critical of what the players produced yesterday and in his interview said there were no excuses. He said that we might have been missing some players but it was well below the standards he set and what they know is expected from them.
Anyway, before we all throw ourselves off the suspension bridge at least a fleeting thought should be given to the fact that this club could be in a very different place in a few months if we have ownership change. This might of course depend on Chairman Higgs doing the right thing for the club rather than himself but any new owners will have capability of paying for a stadium and team to match without having to rely on an unreliable "partner" to pay over the odds for our ground.
As our great leader has told us already, things cannot and will not remain the same.

Why would DC seem depressed about his budget?
I'm glad he threw the 'couple of players missing' excuse out the window, because it isn't one. Interestingly though some years ago we had 11 players missing and some supporters didn't see that as an excuse? Weird bunch.

Unless no other league team is willing to offer Bodin a contract, which doesn't sound good anyway, why would he accept a 3 month contract with us? He may as well try us luck elsewhere, surely DC could stretch to a 6 month contract? DC suggesting he'd be bringing in 4 or 5 players perhaps was bit of wide of the mark? Not technically, he said 4/5 coming in and Bodin would be the 4th if he takes the offer, and I would still expect loans through the season

Offering one of 3 trialists in a position we require a 3 months deal is strange imo. Why get 3 wingers in only to offer a 3 month deal to the last one? #nomoney. You got to ask yourself what happened to all the post Wembley bluster from Chairman Higgs and all the money from the playoffs & final ?? They're still totting up all the money they raked in from the sale of replica shirts!

DC: "Wage budget will be affected" NH: "Wage budget not affected" No prizes for guessing who was telling the truth

So we actually have 1 player less than we finished with last season. We're skint and the board are not backing DC sufficiently for a second summer running.

Well in my hungover state I abysmally spelt prizes as prises so nothing. I feel a bit sorry for Darrell having to operate under constraint, whilst he'll be the one to shoulder the blame if we're not up to scratch for league football.

Although I feel more people are aware of the situation now regarding finances. DC has proved what he is about. This time he has said things which allow us a little info on how he is being held back.

Just don't want wool being pulled over the fans eyes by the board. We need to stay strong as a fanbase and get behind DC. He is keeping us alive at the moment.

The reason the budget is much lower this time is because of the money the board have ****ed down the drain. Spend within our means of course, but not be severely handicapped by continuous crap management from those at the top. I dread to think what would of happened had we not won at Wembley. DC hinted things would of been grim.

This is a real opportunity for him to have a crack at back to back promotions and the board are holding him back. If he does well and he gets a better offer elsewhere then I wouldn't blame him for leaving at all.
