I don't like posting negativity on here but thought I'd share something that happened on Friday. I have been trying to get my wife to come to a game for years, the last game she came to was Huddersfield at Wembley so she decided she'd give it ago and we brought our son too for the 1st time, anyway apart from her twisting her ankle and chipping a bone on the steps, I didn't know this until after some miserable git around the age of 50 ish at the top of the East stand turned around to her and asked her to tell my son and his freind who are both 6 to keep the noise down when they sang Irene, she told him "NO" but funnily enough she and.my son don't want to go again. I'm really watered off about this so if your reading this you miserable sod well done for putting them off coming again.

row e of the East stand on the halfway line almost East stand hates fun in my experience. after this episode I agree with you, I'm usually in the Blackthorn end or what ever it's called now but as the wife and son were going I thought I'd sit, really wish I didn't take them now.

Where were you sat/stood? row e of the East stand on the halfway line almost Very disappointed to hear that Kruger, we were also sat in row E (I think I directed your Mrs to the toilets?) we thought it was cute that the boys were singing it - my son even joined in (although quietly) and he is 21!

East stand hates fun in my experience. To be fair, the West and South stands aren't that keen on it, either. sorry mate, you are very wrong. The south stand is an excellent place to take kids and the people there are very family tolerant. Been there 2 seasons now and never had any problems nor seen any. Lots of kids in the south stand.

I was sat in row C on the halfway line on Friday and had no issue with the 2 lads singing Irene. Poor show on everyone else for not joining in! As Hugo said, plenty of kids in the south stand every week who make plenty of noise, if you can tempt your lad again I'd go in there.

Been there 2 seasons now and never had any problems nor seen any. Lots of kids in the south stand. Well, I wasn't entirely serious, but I was thinking about how long it takes the Blackthorn buzz to get round the ground. I sat in the South Stand for a couple of seasons, and left in the end, coz it feels so detached from the rest of the ground (coz it is). And even when a bit of buzz sweeps around from the West Stand, it has to stop before it gets down the South Stand coz that tractor or whatever it is behind the garden fence never joins in. But I agree you don't get the moaners in there, like you get elsewhere.
