Brilliant today. At the full time whistle everyone stood and sang goodnight irene and darrell Clarkes barmy army... You don't see that from many clubs after a Poor performance and a 2-0 lose... Give yourself a pat on the back and keep the positivity going

Funny that we think we were poor as an Orient fan said to me that we looked a good side after the game.

The negativity of our fans even over the past year when we've done well is one reason I'll choose not to go. Hopefully that starts to change.

I remember turning up at Orient and losing 5-0 when Andersen stopped it being ten. I remember games against Wycombe and Cambridge where neither side created a shot and worst of all I remember a nil nil with Macclesfield where the mascot promoting chewits was the only entertainment in the whole 90 mins and the man of the match was a "rollover". No complaints about yesterday, we were as good as Orient without the ball, they were better than us with it, but not by a great deal which meant it was not disheartening. We played some neat tidy football at times and had enough chances to have nicked something even if on the balance of play we might not have deserved to. Rather lose this way than with some of the insipid capitulations we've seen in the past, they worked their socks off for the shirt, gave us a performance and deserved a good send off from the gas faithful. We are not going to stroll through this league losing just a couple in thirty nine like last year and there will be other games where the score line will be against us at the end of the encounter, but if they've competed throughout they'll get a cheer and a clap from me to send them home.

I can see it being a year of inconsistency results wise, we'll win some and we'll lose some.
What we will do under DC is consistently put in 100% and give it a go and I certainly can't see us taking many hammerings like we have done in the past

After years of struggle in this very league to find ourselves in a playoff spot after the first five games is very pleasing indeed. Losing to a team who have now won 5 from 5 is no embarrassment. The start to this season has been better than last season so there are lots of positives and lots to be looking forward to. The players are putting in more effort than we have seen for more than a decade which will help to keep fans happy.
