I did indeed and had what could have been the best fish and chips ever. Now this should have it's own thread, where does the idea of selling fish and chips with the skin on start ? Here in suffolk they serve it with skin on ! in the West it is skin off and up North the same, so where is the skin on/off border ?

www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/08/31/por-former-city-youngster-drury-agrees-rovers-move/?HITC Sport understands former Manchester City youngster Adam Drury has joined Bristol Rovers, having been on trial with Leeds and Bradford earlier this summer. Bristol Rovers have signed former Manchester City defender Adam Drury on a short-term deal, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Drury is a free agent after leaving City earlier this summer after eight years at the Etihad Stadium. The 21-year-old joined City as a 12-year-old from Grimsby Town and progressed through the youth ranks, but failed to make a first-team appearance in City's star-studded team. The highly-rated full-back had loan spells out at Burton Albion and St Mirren during his time at City and he impressed during those stints. Drury had a trial at Leeds this summer following his release by City and featured in a pre-season game against York City. On trial Adam Drury scores for Leeds rivals days after snub However, Leeds decided not to pursue their interest in Drury and he was offered a trial at Bradford City, scoring in a friendly clash with Guiseley. A number of clubs are thought to have shown an interest in Drury, but the defender has decided to join League Two Bristol Rovers on a short-term basis so that he can play regularly.

In Yorkshire they leave it on. Other than that I have no idea.

Assuming this rumour is true he looks a very impressive signing given that a number of Div 1 clubs have apparently been after his signature.

Wasn't expecting a signing. Once again, if true, DC has acted where necessary.

I'm glad we've signed him if it's true. If it was between signing another striker or a wing back then I would have gone for a wing back. After leads and Brown there's no obvious choice, Sinsclair will do a job anywhere but we need him in the middle. If we can get a big strong forward in too then it's onwards and upwards.

That thread on the St. Mirren forum is hardly inspiring... but then again, St Mirren were bleedin' awful last year. Reminds me of when we used to ask 'why can players perform well elsewhere but not at BRFC?' when we played a style that didn't suit them, or surrounded them with terrible players etc.
Hope he does well for us - assuming this is confirmed tomorrow! Sounds like he impressed at Leeds and a few clubs are interested. Also played in a Burton side which made the L2 play-offs in 12-13, so he's got experience at this level.

Lets give the kid a chance, he's young and has been at one of the best clubs in Europe learning his craft and lets face it DC doesn't get many of his transfer dealings wrong !
