To be fair I'm not entirely sure it's the clubs fault. Last season despite being in the conference I thought the official site was far superior to what we had seen in previous years, and now we've gone back again. Surely it's down to the football league rather than the way we run it?

It's a Football League stitch up: "The Website is operated by FL Interactive Limited (Company Number 04112553), whose registered address is c/o The Football League Limited, 5B Edward VII Quay, Navigation Way, Ashton on Ribble, Preston, PR2 2YF ("FLi"). FLi reserves the right to change these Terms of Use from time to time and your use of the Website following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change." I don't know what the the deal is, but Rovers like a lot of other clubs are tied in to this crappy, outdated format through a subsidiary of the Football League. Having said that, I am sure that all the out-of-date content could be removed. Not tied to it but unfortunately BRFC do not have the manpower to run a website which brings in the amount of income that the Football League package brings in.

Can't understand why people get bent out of shape over something like this, I use it to look at club news. I also use Twitter Facebook and the Internet for the same, Nothing to see here, move along I can compare it to my area of expertise, nightclub events. So let's look at the evidence. The 'official' website is cluttered, not easy to navigate on PC or mobile devices. The official Facebook page does't even list upcoming games as 'events' meaning people can't share with friends that they will be going to games. Nightclubs learnt website and social media lessons long ago (as you can change your mind as you're walking to their venue). Football is different in many ways but it will catch up, and if we want to be anywhere that matters when it does we should be starting now: i) free content 2/3 times a day on the official site and via social media. Even if it's stupid vine clips of the players mucking around after training. Likes and shares spread, maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow, but they do... ii) list fixtures on the Facebook page. It would take 5 minutes work by one person every month but *just* one share that causes one extra person to attend that game would pay for that effort. Get ten shares and the gate might increase by 20 people. Get fifty shares and you could add 100 people to the gate. iii) Gasplayer is fine for matches as most of us will pay for a subscription to hear things we can't actually attend, even if the stream is rubbish and the commentary is normally 30+ seconds behind the action. Interviews with the players have no place on it unless we're now charging £18 to sit in a badly lit room with poor sound to listen to our players talk about their performances.
