Have you actually listened to his interviews? He explains it pretty clearly.
We have made offers for players, some accepted, some pending, and some rejected. He has backups for his targets. He won't get players in just for the sake of it (thankfully). If those pending get back to him and accept we could have all players in within a week. Not everything in football can be under total control... or a "perfect world" as DC puts it. He admits he is frustrated. You're expectations in calling him 'full of bull' are rediculous IMO. He mentions things are tight and others have claimed the board have made his budget smaller, is that his fault?
If we sign the 4 players he says he wants, that will mean he has brought in 9. Fine with me.
He also points out that he has a striker (target man) secured for a loan if he needs him.
I understand peoples frustrations, but the negativity is getting out of hand in some areas IMO. Remembering some of our ex managers, I am very happy with DC.

Yup I admit, im pretty frustrated with most areas of the club. I wanted one pre season when the team is in place so we didnt have a slow start, new manager by christmas etc etc. I'm reassured by the number of fans who do feel positive about him so lets see how it unfolds.

I don't see much positivity actually. Barring 10 or so on here most people I talk Rovers with in BS15 are pretty nonemotional about it all. I've got a fair idea on how it's going to unfold too. I'm going to push the boat out and say I think we are struggling to exist within 3 years. The stadium and direction off field will nail the coffin. Only a miraculous sequence of events will see a good campaign this season but a good campaign will be short of what's required anyway. Hope I'm wrong but, let's see.

Yeah, I reckon two years in the conference will see us off tbh. Still, heads high and march towards our fate.

I 100% agree that if we're still here in year years, we may fold even with the stadium. Without, we'll definitely cease to exist in 3 years IMO.
However, 3 years away is 3 years away.
Until then I will believe we can turn things round. Granted it may not be this season. But we ain't dead and buried until we're dead and buried.

Luton had bigger financial problems than us when they were relegated. They have a similar gate, a crap ground and had no players when relegated hence why it took them so long to go back up. However they did and did so without ceasing to exist.

Might be worth seeing how Luton did it then? Il have a look at wiki etc later. 1000 ave away fans last year though! That's a figure most clubs up to lg 1 would love! Also worth remembering, for 1 Luton there is 1 Stockport, and so on........

We`ll be fine!!
I`m off for a spot of Belgian brew.......I think DC will get us going again, his passion is something that stands out to me. I just fear it may take a little while.
UTG!!

I know you are not impressed with the signings so far but this for me is the way forward. There isn't one player that is here for the cash or earning a lot more than the rest. These lads are all in it together and playing for a future career in the FL. This will be the last chance for most of them and I'm quietly confident that they will surprise us along the way.

I reckon this kind of debate will make this forum great.... heated, opinionated, and insightful.... I posted something yesterday that dins may of found a bid rude and I regret posting it, but in the heat of it all and in the situation were in I will come out with some bollox posts.... as long as people don't take things personally then this will be a great community.... xxxx

I like people being brave and saying what they think at the start of the season rather then waiting for it to all go right or wrong and then having an opinion. I never wanted DC as manager or Assistant manager. He comes accross well though and i would have no problem getting behind him and the team when we kick off. I would love him to do well as he isnt from the usual manager merry go round.

He seemed like he thought he was winning too. But he was very very rude, when the other guy called him a belend I was pretty chuffed. I'd have done the same!
