We need to get some potent strikers and creativity from midfield otherwise I am afraid, we will be going back to Dover and the like next season.
The writing is on the wall, when we went down it was not due to the defence, but the lack of goals, clearly evident that we need three new players pretty sharpish.
I am a big DC fan however he has to act soon before we are too far behind to challenge.
see Blissett was not even in the Tranmere squad today.

Something odd has gone on with him me thinks, DC keeping his cards close to his chest on this?

The worst that will happen this season is that we end up in mid table mediocrity.

I don't think we'll go down simply because we're not as sh*t as Newport, Barnet, Yeovil and Luton. However we will be involved in a relegation scrap if we don't sort out our goal problem.

The worst that will happen this season is that we end up in mid table mediocrity. This, talking about relegation is a massive over reaction. As is the tit that text in to the radio saying DC is out of his depth. We outplayed Luton (away), Yeovil (away) Barnet and were the better team against Oxford with 10 men. People really need to chill out and have longer memories than a week. DC is right when he says it's considered a disaster whenever we lose a match.

Our home form under DC against league clubs has been truly shocking since DC took over from JW, having won his first home game in charge he lost the next 3 home games in charge during our relegation season, he then lost the 3 pre-season friendlies at the Mem this season and now 4 out of 5 league & cup games, the only team he's beaten this season being an ex Conference side. Against league teams that's P-12, W-2, D-0, L10, ignore the first feel good factor win and Barnet and it's 10 losses out of 10, with Pompey up next!

And if we win that, half the supporters will think promotion is nailed on, we need to be a little bit calmer.

I've still got faith in DC, I'd rather have a young passionate manager learning his trade than the experienced mcghees who take one look at our facilities and think they're above it. Darryl needs to learn fast. Home form is not good enough.

Posters probably said the same during our relegation season, we now need DC/NH to pull out their fingers and sign a good winger or two and an experienced league striker.

I find this strange after we only lost 2 home league games last season. We haven’t been scoring a lot of goals for a while now; this is not a new thing. We were struggling at the start of last season and although we picked up, all our goal routs were against part timers. Even the season or maybe two before our relegation we were not scoring enough.

People are over worrying talking about relegation. As Antonio said can't see us doing worse than mid table mediocrity.

We completely dominated those games.

All different scenarios but we have not replaced Andy Monkhouse, Leadbetter or Blissett.
If DC and Mr Higgs think we can wait until January before "splashing the cash" I would suggest they think again, because poor results will send crowds downwards and in reality Mr Watola's budget will not be be stretching for any new players.

It is all well and good saying how well we played against Oxford but the fact remains that we did not score in that game or against Northampton and Accrington. No goals, no points and not that much for the Supporters to enthuse about which will hit cash through the door if it continues. Dwindling attendances will affect DC's prospects of bringing in fresh faces and the spectre of Higgs chasing rainbows has an unknown final cost. Lucas and Blisset should be brought back and tried out at the very least.

The bloke hasn't proven himself in the conference, he can't even get in a conference SQUAD. So why should he be hauled back and played in a league match? What's more worrying is you're not the first fan I have seen mention bringing him back.

Sent off to Tranmere seemed like a kick in the teeth from DC as he played his part, although not a comprehensive part in our promotion to the FL.

One good game against Kidderminster doesn't cut it in my eyes and mean he is worthy of a chance in the league. It is easy to come out with things like just give him a go when your head is not on the block. It is up to Blissett to knuckle down and prove himself at Tranmere. Once he does that then he might get considered here.
