No way would I want an 8 lane running track. I went to see us in a pre-season when Rotherham were using the Don Valley, the view was absolutely terrible

Few half time strippers in the bar at half time wouldn't be toor bad. What if the new consortium is being led by Hugh Hefner and Ron Jeremy? Ron Jeremy? Showing your age there. Peter North

If you sit in the middle or toward's the back of a stand, what difference does 20 feet make? If you are satisfied at the back of a terrace or with the view at Wembley/any big ground, a running track at a small ground shouldn't make it a rubbish view.

Eastville had its fair share of track going round the outside of the pitch. Toteend was miles away from the pitch.

Maybe it was purely down to Don Valley being an athletics stadium that was hosting football rather than a football stadium that had a track......but I assure you, the view was dire

If there are talks going on re a takeover what do we want and what don't we want in the future, its our club. Maybe someone with money and power is reading this forum What do you love about us and what would you wish to change? For me I like our grounded image, but not as low as ragbag Rovers. I love our name, the shirts and Irene. I like to feel part of it and not just be the end product of a rich mans investment. I would like a situation at last where we can buy a proper stadium a striker or two, attack, get goals and win trophies. Yes while we sing Irene as all these things are our history and culture and that's what I love about the Gas (and that must remain too). Thoughts? A new drain pipe behind the goal in blackthorn end, bent from shooting practice before game Probably a stray shot from the bliss

I'm i missing something or shouldn't we just wait for official confirmation there is at least a serious bid on the table? imagien the fun the 82er's will have on thier OTIN forum repeating posts from here if this all comes to nothing? If we did even get an approach I'd just want investors on board who were interested in Rovers the football club and not Rovers the money making machine. I thought it would be worthwhile to tell them (NH and others) what we want before we find ourselves called Bristol Pirates, playing in pink hoops and having to do exercises to Boney M before the game starts Sorry there is already a Bristol Pirates and they are a youth football team playing in blue and white stripes (Argentina) so you can't have it

I'm not sure I'm up to that.

No woman ever went short with that fella. but Peter North was a sh1t actor though, as was Ron Jeremy. I can't believe two such bad actors could make as many films as they did.

A ground-breaking vision that we can all believe in. Can we get to the premiership? Why not Stoke, Bournemouth did. Why not us? Aim high and expect a five year plan that puts us where a club like ours should be. I sit and wait to see what happens. Can we be inspired by new owners? Here's hoping.

I'll try...... Plan A remains to get Sainsburys to honour the contract via the appeal, whenever that may be. A few weeks ago Vitalgas reported that the UWE was looking at a reduced 15000 capacity stadium, which a UWE spokesman dismissed. NH stated that there is a Plan B which he was talking with partners about and could not say more at this stage. The loan was also being renegotiated. Last week Colin Sexton left Plymouth and took up a non executive director role with us. Later that week JTS posted that Plan B would not only be a reduced capacity but would be with more partners than the UWE and therefore dilute our revenue income from non match day events. It would also incorporate an 8 lane running track affecting the atmosphere. This being information he had known for a while but felt getting now had to share before this becomes a done deal behind closed doors. A day later, Gasincider posted that a consortium are interested in investing and build the UWE as originally planned, plus investing in the playing side. NH said nothing is "imminent" Both JTS and Gasincider understand their sources to be reliable. The subtext to this seems to be whether their sources are reliable or whether the are being fed information for non altruistic reasons, whether there is a genuine consortium, whether NH is holding out for valid or stubborn reasons. Also there is speculation over who these people are. Apologies if I have missed anything. I have tried to stay neutral in tone but for what it is worth, I feel that JTS has enough credence here to be believed. As a member of Bristol Athletic Club, whilst also coaching Yate Athletic Club athletes, I find the 8 lane athletic track part extremely hard to believe. I've heard nobody in the local Athletics scene mention this possibility at all. The Bristol area has three tracks, one just round the corner from UWE in Stoke Gifford. There is no need for another, who would want it? Sick to death of Athletics, after the Olympics and the hype you'd believe the entire country was obsessed with it, in reality it's the same fringe event, everyone still likes football, all that money wasted on facilities nobody will use.

Certainly don't want any asset strippers. Do want people who will value the club's history and appreciate the importance of preserving it for future Gasheads.

Asset strippers you say? I'd be happy with strippers of any description. I have low standards and I work hard to maintain them
