People keep mentioning getting relegated, which suprises me a little bit because I'd say there is next to no chance, but doesn't on the other as people love to over react. People say they will be happy with mid table, and then always find something to worry or stress about when we don't go on promotion form. FWIW, I think going up this year would be too soon without a decent amount of money being pumped in (doubtful) before any league one season, some of our players won't cut it in league two.
If you think there is any reasonable chance of going down, SkyBet are offering 40/1. People are talking like it should be 3/1.
We have played nearly every top team, with one of the hardest starts possible. People are quick to forget how crap the bottom 10 teams are in this league, organisation and effort are enough to keep you out of that. After the next couple of games, we have a pretty easy line up approaching Christmas. When comparing the Conference, it is always said that the top Conference teams are on a par with the bottom league two teams, or better. Our record against those lower teams this year is 3/3 wins and 3/3 dominating performances.
So, what should the odds be?

This top team rubbish. The reason some of them are in the top 10 is because they have taken 3 points off of us! We've only played for 27 points ffs. Amazing how so many predictions are made in September. For those of you that remember, I did a predictor a few seasons ago for top 3 and bottom 3. Nobody from loads of entrants came close. So just stop it ok, because you will probably be wrong!

Another thing I haven't seen anyone comment on is that no one team is running away with the league yet. Portsmouth top with 19 points from 9 games. If anything this league looks pretty level and will only take a couple of good results for any team to make their way up the league. Hopefully after getting our 'hard' start out the way it could be us

The purse strings are kept pretty tight at the start, and if DC can get the team into a challenging position by the time the Jan window opens, then the Board will release funds, as they did last season with the signings of Lines and Easter.

Good point Nobby the main difference since last season tho is we have lost THE court case we assumed we'd win and have entered another wild goose chase which will need even more funds - oh sorry scrap that "it won't affect the playing budget" we're told -UTG

Failing that, we have certainly been playing those with the biggest budgets, bigger than ours.

Chairman admitted on Radio Bris - we have a top 8 budget but couldn't pinpoint more accurately than that.
