No, having sold one car park, they desperately need another. It is just a car park.

is this a classic case of starting preparatory works to stop pp expiring?? It always used to be that you had five years from the date of approval before permission lapsed.

I thought the UWE suggested recently they didn't need so much car parking space so we're seeking pp for a business school(?) on one of the car park sites? Didn't NH also say in his last 20man interview the UWE didn't to resolve the car park funding if Rovers could no longer fund it?
Does anybody know if work has really started on the car park??

The planning application reference is 15/4492. It covers some reorganisation of UWE's parking and includes an application for a temporary (for 5 years), 729 space car park, mostly to the west of the stadium site. It specifically states that the application is a temporary one so as not to prevent the extant permissions going ahead. It would appear that UWE are intent on sorting out their parking, but have yet to completely give up on the stadium. As they haven't yet received planning permission, presumably nothing permanent is being undertaken.
