Give him much more time and opportunities and it could cost us a crack at getting up. We already gave up any opportunity of beating Notts County by bringing him on. So you'd have kept Matty Taylor on who did zilch in the second half except demonstrate how to jog around slowly and always keep at least 3 metres from the ball. Admittedly he was better in the first half and has put in some decent performances recently but on Tuesday he needed to go off and we needed something different to try and break down a resolute Notts defence. I would have brought Lines on and Bodin up front alongside Easter.

We haven't got time for Bliss to prove himself imo. DC said those words ages ago, since then Locks has become 1st choice and Sincs has looked an established league player. Bliss has fumbled through a loan spell and only gets on our bench when we are short. Our fans have been relatively patient thanks to DCs words but it is clear as day that Bliss is better suited to ballet rather than soccer.

Another point...
I love how the same people have a dig at Taylor as soon as he has one bad game. They fail to mention his 4 game scoring run before that game.

Would have kept Taylor on then if you want to go down that road. More likely to do something than Blissett as he has proven last season and this.

To quote myself…"he was better in the first half and has put in some decent performances recently". Did you miss that bit? Another point… Taylor has had rather a lot of bad games prior to his little goal scoring run.

Harrison is due a suspension, Easter was fortunate to escape a ban. It would be poor management by DC not to have the 4th recognised striker around the squad for the match. Otherwise 1 booking for Ellis and he is in the deep end likewise if Easter was put we would have been light. He would have prepared with Bliss as an option due to Easters red. I don't think it's a harsh view, the bloke has been with us well over a year and hasn't had a '7' rating that often if at all!

Bliss is so poor I'd try Bodin upfront or, assuming we can, recall Lucas as surely he's a better option upfront? Even one upfront & Lines in the whole at least keeps 11 footballers on the pitch!

NH also said our contract with Sainsburys was watertight....Why should Mildenhall walk away? Would you? If someone is daft enough to let players sign long term contracts on high wages that's not the players problem So we agree at last. Bliss can stay as its "not his problem". Well if no one else is wiling to take him and his contract still has time to run, I suppose we are stuck with him.
The point I'm making is about his ability,or inability, to play at this level on the basis that he struggled for 19 games last season playing non-league football.
I watched all of our home games last season and a quite a few away and I'm afraid I cant recall a stand out performance from him, even against some woeful non league defences.
He was brought in after a half decent performance against us for Kiddie, when he raised his game in front of a big crowd, the way a lot of teams did against us last season.
If he was any good, why hasn't he had more than a couple of substitute appearances this Season ? As you mentioned previously, its not as if our regular strikers have been banging in the goals at will.
I think we were all hoping he'd have some of Uncle Luther's attributes, but sadly that doesn't seem to be the case unfortunately.

No one likes to pan their own players but there comes a time when you've got to be tough, there are other strikers out there who would relish Bissetts position. DC threw down the gauntlet pre season but the lad hasn't stepped up. Plenty like to pan their own players. Sadly. Of course no one likes offering unnecessary criticism for the sake of it, but I thought this was an open forum for people to express opinions?
I'm afraid you can't sugar coat a topic and say that the guy is our saviour and is probably going to end up League 2's top scorer when that's obviously not going to happen.
Apart from criticising his footballing ability, I cant recall any detrimental personal comments about him, so I can't see the problem tbh
If I wasn't performing at my profession, I'd be hauled over the coals, given a kick up the arse and some very negative feedback.
The problem here is that he has around 6k people watching him every time he goes to work.

It's sad that so many football experts on here are able to write Blissett off on the basis of a few minutes of league football. I remember a similar situation with Michael Smith being written off after a couple of games. Those same people were nowhere to be seen when Smudger came good. Give Blissett the time (as DC has suggested) and opportunity to prove himself in the league or otherwise as the case may be. I for one haven't given up on him and he may yet surprise a few on here. Good luck to Nathan, he brings us a different option. Awkward yes, but not easy to defend against. Give him much more time and opportunities and it could cost us a crack at getting up. We already gave up any opportunity of beating Notts County by bringing him on. We gave up any opportunity of beating Notts by virtue of our woeful second half performance including Taylor spurning another great chance. In fact any of us could have taken Carrols place in goal and not have been troubled, hence our Managers substitutions. As regards costing us a crack at getting up, I would suggest all our home performances apart from Barnet have not helped and you cannot blame Blissett for that surelyas 90% of his time on the pitch this season was in a drawn game unlike the losses with Taylor and co up front.

My point was that there are some that DO like to hand out unnecessary criticism. Don't have a problem with constructive criticism at all. My comment wasn't aimed at you. Some of the sh** written about our players is unnecessary and unhelpful. Blissett and Taylor 2 obvious current targets. And don't get me started on match day abuse.

Those same strikers failing up front in the home games have been doing well in away games though so harsh to be too critical. Playing Blissett will cost us more points than it will win us.

Did anybody else rate county keeper Caroll?! I was very impressed, made two good saves (both from Easter, I think) and was very confident when coming for crosses. Gets bonus points for bollocking his own player for a lack of sportsmanship, and for clapping the Blackthorn despite getting the inevitable 'you're sh**... Aaaarggggghhh' chants all half.
