Just found out that John Sheridan is now their manager, and perhaps that is why they bet Wycum on Tuesday. I thought it would have been mentioned on here. Think we might struggle (again)

Until DC brings in another creative player or two you fear we are always going to struggle at the Mem, but if we are going to start worrying about palying a bottom of the table side then DC really needs to sort the home form out asap.

A couple of weeks ago this looked like the fixture to get our season going at the Mem. Now with a new manager and a win against the cheats under their belts, I can't help getting the feeling that we're not playing Newport at the right time.

Wycombe have won once and drawn once in their last 8 games, I think the fact that they are so shockingly bad has as much to do with Newport's win as the new manager does. I think Newport are still there for the taking, but I think we made a mistake in rearranging the Wycombe game.

I'm doubly pleased that Newport did Wycombe on Tuesday.Any defeat for those cheating scumbags is always pleasing and we won't now be caught thinking that we've only got to turn up to beat Newport like Wycombe probably did.So thankyou for the heads up choirboys.

Newport will be a much tougher prospect than a month or so ago. A 1-0 win for me.

I fear we will need an early goal tomorrow. Otherwise it could be another frustrating game like against Notts County. Newport will be coming happy to take a 0-0 and we all know we find it hard to break teams down.

We never have much luck against teams with out a manager or newly hired so i'll go with a 1-1 draw.

Read the reports on Newport v Wycombe.
Started playing 5-3-2 and brought in two Cardiff u21s who both did well apparently. Tom OSullivan is a creative midfielder who apparently went on loan to Port Vale last year to replace the departing Chris Lines. Also a striker with the fantastic name of Jazzy Barnum-Bob or something like that.
Fans reckon they are a different side now. Much more organised and with a touch of flare going forward.

I think John Sheridan was a very shrewd appointment. He's took Chesterfield up from this league before and seemed to have built the foundations of Plymouth's side at the moment. Plymouth were struggling with us a couple of years ago but he came in, made them harder to beat and got them into the play offs.

i fancy us to win saturday,,,i dont think our home "form" has been poor but that the results havnt quite happened. thing is were 3 points off a play off spot and 11 points clear of a relegation place,,what newly promoted team wouldnt be happy with that? people always say sign this and that player but its hard to improve on what we have with affordable players, obvious really
