I really really wanted to reach the third round this season and I'm devastated that we couldn't get past the first hurdle.
Take into account our oppenents and the result is a complete disaster.
However...
We since the penalty, we dominated. A lucky shot and another error from our Goalkeeper defeated us.
Points of optimism.
1) We are creating. 2) Our defence is decent.
We are close. We just need 3% more
I feel were a Goalkeeper and Attacking midfielder away from being good. We really need more threat from attacking areas. I'd be tempted to play our three midfielders together in the centre.
FairPlay to Chesham. They were very committed. Rode their luck a bit but all the best to them.

Lets remember that Chesham are not only in the Southern League Premier, but they are 17th in the Southern League Premier, having conceded 25 goals. Good job we didn't play Weymouth or another team at the top of the table. Of course our team today were a disgrace, set up badly by Clarke. We started at walking pace and later progressed to a slow trot. Passing was poor except for Sinclair who managed at least 40 passes backwards. And he should have pulled Gosling off after 20 minutes, absolute disgrace. Harrison, again acting like a petulant child falling over at every opportunity. Thought that they would tire in the second half but they didn't because for all our huffing and puffing there was no quality. I expect Chesham will have harder games against teams in their own league than we gave them. I have always been a big fan of DC but if he cannot improve the team or at least get them to win at home then I would say thanks Daryl but goodbye

Utter madness to even be mentioning that as a possibility at this stage, IMO. After 1 home win? remember it is November, not September Are you genetically programmed to see everything negatively Very convenient to forget about the 6 away wins. In my opinion, the home form will come. Shocks happen in the cup. We were poor today, but it's not the end of the world. In truth, with our budget anything above mud-table will be pretty remarkable this season. The way it is looking, on the playing side we will be in a much stronger position at the end of the season as big earning bench-warmers Mildy and Lines will most likely be gone. Clarke's doing alright in my book. However, it's the non-playing side which scares the living day lights out of me. God knows what this club will look like come the end of the season.

Utter madness to even be mentioning that as a possibility at this stage, IMO. Daryl has been a poor manager from the start and now is the time for him to be given the boot Surely an objective person would see that DC has at the very least, taken us slightly forward over his 18 months in charge. We were teetering on the brink of the relegation places when he took over. Now we're comfortably mid-table, and this while his budget has decreased and the club is a shambles off the field.

Arguably we've become a bigger shambles off the field since he started.

Utter madness to even be mentioning that as a possibility at this stage, IMO. After 1 home win? remember it is November, not September I'm aware it's November, but yes, after 1 home win. Our home form is very poor, but our away form is better than it's been for years. One balances out the other atm, and over the course of the season I expect the home and away form to level out and us to finish around mid-table - which would be a success this season IMO.

Must be his fault then! Clarke out
