Failure to convert chances into goals was a problem today and I wonder if this means Lucas will get a chance next week?

Can't for the life of me work out why he didn't get a chance today.

Love to see it but a big step up. Was it 2 in 7 he got in the conference on loan ? Harrison, Taylor and Easter have a similar strike rate in this division

Apparently Ellis and Locks are out for the next two games due to internationals, so would you give him a chance on Wednesday even if is just from the bench?

Can't for the life of me work out why he didn't get a chance today. He was in DC's thinking to come on but then Leadbitter got injured and stopped that happening - much to DC's frustration

I have always defended Taylor but now is the time to see if we can find someone with a better chances to conversion ratio.

Taylor is not good enough, along with the other maestro Gosling. Bodin had a stinker today as did Ellis. But we really need new owners who don't insist on p*ssing all our gate receipts up against the courtroom wall.

Taylor and gosling own't be dropped as there Daryl's Favouites just like Monkhouse last season

Let's be fair lads Ellis & Matty were bloody heroes at Cambridge , granted today they should have scored at least 5 between them but I think Chessum had the Football Gods on their side today (like we did at Wembley remember) plus their Keeper had a blinder ! The home form will turn around it has to we don't wanna be bottom half going into the new year

Correct in that none went in, but I don't see what that has got to do with the board. As you have said, four forwards didn't perfrom today. Bad day at the office, just like bath last year. In DC we trust, he will do the best he can, with what little money he has. Yes, i'd definitely give Lucas a go at Southend

Can't for the life of me work out why he didn't get a chance today. Looking at the dugout today it looked as if Lucas was due to come on then Leadbitter went over on his ankle and DC had to change plans and bring Clarke on at RB.

And our manager is called Darrell not Daryl.

At least Taylor gets into positions where he can have a shot, unlike Harrison who just watches the game go by Check your stats about Gosling, most of our attacks came from through balls from him, more than Lines did when he came on

I'd like to see Lucas play on Wednesday. He deserves a chance to show what he can do. He looked ok when he came on against Plymouth. DC was going to put Montano on, then Lucas but when Leadbitter went over Clarke came on.

Strongest team possible against Southend please DC.
Some might not rate this cup but I do and who are we to snub the money that comes from it?

Agree. They need to get back playing as quickly as possible. With money lost in the cup this at least gives us a chance to recoup some but only if we get to the final. I'm sure DC will have given them a big rollocking and told them some home truths. He sat for nearly five minutes on the bench at the end of the game, most probably composing himself for the team and the press. It's the angriest I've seen him down there and quite rightly so.

Last year against Bath, we played almost our strongest team. I wouldn't make loads of changes but clearly our strongest team have got us get knocked out of one cup. Playing a couple of fringe players can't be any worse can it?
