Shocking if true. But in reality, what's negative about "club received approach from consortium x for £40m, club declines, stating its reasons"? We would put a negative overlay on for them but no reason it has to be written as negative. Time the cyborg editors of temple way grew some virtual bollocks and represented their readers. Come on James James has already said on Twitter that any news of the Consortium offer will be released to BBC Points West and not the Bristol Post.
Would that be news released by the club or released by the consortium or are you saying that he passes all the info that he is given to the BBC?

I think we all know the press are a law unto themselves and they print stuff to sell papers likewise news broadcaster cover stories that will make people watch. If this is true then it will come out.

Those ITK now need to name and shame. The confidential argument has been blown out of the water if indeed the EP does hold official documentation, if indeed, any such documentation even exists. Name the sources. Tell everyone what you think you believe to be real. Who are the names you believe to be behind the 'consortium'.
After Saturday's result, I really don't give a feck. Let's end this fecking childs game of "I know more than you" right now.

Nothing to lose then, they already have lost preferential access to day to day reporting of BRFC goings on. Imagine the clicks they could generate with the information they allegedly have in their mits

Would that be news released by the club or released by the consortium or are you saying that he passes all the info that he is given to the BBC? As apparently James is on friendly terms with NH, I take it to mean that info from the Consortium will be released through the BBC.
I would be surprised if there is any announcement shorty, via the Evening Post, regarding any Consortium.
As regards the Evening Post holding documentary evidence, is that pigs flying along the seafront at Weston-Super-Mare?

If your saying "Holmes" is taking nonsense about the doc evidence then is he also taking nonsence about the consortium pulling out after securing finance??

I am not saying you are not telling the truth from "what you have heard" I just find it difficult to understand why the Consortium or NH/TW would have sent an email saying the Consortium have pulled out of the deal at the moment.
Are you able to say who sent the "email"?

The email was sent by the consortium via their representative. Not second hand information either. Right, I'm off to Weston to watch the flying pig display.

The only ones who would know that for certain are the EP journos and the alleged consortium. Unless you've heard dodgy third hand information. Which one is it?

PS - leave it until Friday night when you can also see The Carnival.

Thanks for the advice re the carnival. I always preferred it when it was on a Monday. PS I have no idea of the wording of the release to the press other than the offer had been withdrawn. It might be that they were trying to force the issue and negotiations might have started as I am led to believe that their previous advances were being ignored?

I think that under the circumstances the consortium sent it to the wrong place. I think Twentyman might have made better use of the information.

It's common knowledge that the Evil Post are in the club's pocket. Sending them anti board information would always fail so why do it? I just can't see how this can be right?

If that is the case, which again I find it difficult to comprehend, that sheds a whole new light on it.
I now have to go offline as I have pressing other matters.
