There's a lot of "AGHHHHH!" around Bristol Rovers football club at the moment.
And rightly so, our results at home have been very frustrating.
But just for balance- I'd like to put it out there that we're close to turning a team over by 4+ goals at home soon.
In the last 8 games home and away we've averaged- 17 shots.
Sooner or later we'll have "one of days" (the good kind, the kind where they all go in) and we'll go home singing!
You heard it hear first, well maybe not...
Happy clapper gas -ooooooott!

I'm with you madgas - someone is due for a thumping at the Mem and it could signal a move up the table. Taking the theme form another thread on "quality strikers", it is well known that strikers hit lean patches and then a rich vein of form. Taking Harry Kane as a prime example, in the first 17 games played this season he scored just 3 goals, 2 of which were for England against San Marino and Switzerland. Questions were being asked about his bubble bursting, etc. etc. However, in the last 4 games he has scored 6 goals for Tottenham. Who's to say that Ellis, Jermaine, or Matty Taylor couldn't do the same at L2 level.

The metaphor kind of runs out here as we play at home once a fortnight Not really....our strikers have 16 league games left to score goals in. I have 43 days (prob 37 at work) left before Christmas as I will be working (probably) six in every seven of those - if I want any additional training I do it in the evenings or on my day off from this point as I either know what I'm doing or I have many awkward conversations with the boss. Our strikers are in a fantastic position of being paid to train for 3-4 days before each 'workday' for them. The metaphor works fine for me, if I can't convert as often as either other members of my team or the team members of our competitors, at some point I either get reduced hours (dropped) or sacked (sold/loaned out). Our company has a wage FTE target so someone else who they think can do the job will replace me.
