Good news for every gas head,after 16 matches in the national league last season the gas had 29 points, this season in div2 we have 26 points.I think the team has improved on performances this season against harder opposition with almost the same players.This must go to prove that our management team are learning from the mistakes of the past.If and its a big if we continue this form we will be promoted with around 89/90 points.

Plymouth = Barnet?
Got a lot of Plymouth supporting mates and would like nothing more than for them to start fading. Getting fed up of them winning every week. Don't think they are that special (like Barnet last year). Shame Ellis didn't put it past that scumbag in the last minute at Home Park

Yes I agree with your comments about Plymouth they seem to be getting a lot of luck recently,but that will change.The scumbag as you called him was in the right place at the right time,that's what you call luck!! I think player for player not many div2 teams can compete with the Gas.

How many points do we need to ensure we stay up?

How many points do we need to ensure we stay up? 50 is the usual, so over halfway there!

I still think were a few players short of a top 3 finish but dc hands are tied,just imagine what he could do if he had a budget like Pompey or oxford

I feel we will have a much more realistic picture by end of December. I think up until Orient on 28th all the games are winnable and taken one match at a time I would say we should win. But to say we are going to win all 7 is a bit of an ask and probably unlikely... But each game by itself I could say yes we should win THAT game. Anyway by the end of Wimbledon match it will be a lot clearer. I just hope it's a positive "much clearer" not a negative one. UTG!!

50 is correct so let's get to 53 ASAP then worry about the top end.

True,but you are relying on no injuries or suspensions which at times can decimate a small squad,nicer to have replacements in place and up to speed on tactics and the like.Or to replace out of form players. We are often told competition for places keeps players on their toes for fear of losing their place in the team

I've had a safety target of 50 points in my head since day one. Get there then build on it.

Yeah just look at 89/90 , where as when we were last relegated we had a big squad of young players who weren't ready and over the hill journey men. I'd like to see one or two more come in January though.
