If (when!) we win today's game that will be 5 away league wins row. Now I can't remember in my life time us winning 5 in a row away from home before. Does any statto out there know when we last did ? UTG

Incredible really. I have seen more away wins in the last year than in the previous 10 I reckon!

This might be the run:
18 Jan 1964 Southend United v Bristol Rovers W 3-4 League Division Three 08 Feb 1964 Colchester United v Bristol Rovers W 2-3 League Division Three 26 Feb 1964 Hull City v Bristol Rovers W 0-2 League Division Three 29 Feb 1964 Shrewsbury Town v Bristol Rovers W 0-1 League Division Three 14 Mar 1964 Walsall v Bristol Rovers W 2-3 League Division Three
Funnily enough, that season we only finished mid-table coz we didn't win as many home games as away games.

Once in a Gashead lifetime then . Let's hope we can rewrite history today. I think there was a similar run in the 50's so 2 already in some older fans life times.

Be nice to create history but I like what Macca said in WDP about its the 3 points which are important. 3 points today would be great and we would move up table. History is good but the present is more important IMO. UTG!

I agree but if it gives them an extra incentive to win it can be a bad thing?

Also achieved in the 52/53 promotion winning season in Division 3 (south).
25 Oct 1952 Ipswich 5 - 1 8 Nov 1952 Bournemouth 2 - 1 20 Dec 1952 Shrewsbury 1 - 0 26 Dec 1952 QPR 1 - 0 17 Jan 1953 Gillingham 4 - 0
There were some big gaps in those dates - postponements probably ! This run of 5 wins was sandwiched in between a run of 11 undefeated, the 6th away game on 7 Feb was a 0 - 0 v our arch rivals with over 35,000 at the game !!!! Can we have those times back again in my life -time !!!??
