Has anyone got any idea why Wycombe's manager was complaining so much to the ref during the second half and after the game?

I don't know as I wasn't close enough, but possibly he was complaining because he allowed Sinclair to take the quick free kick for the second goal. Anyway, his side were soundly beaten tonight and apart from clipping the outside of the post (from an offside position?) they really didn't threaten us all night.

I stand in between the dugouts and he constantly complained all the way through the first half about what seemed to be every innocuous tackle made. His assisstants were just as bad. When he did have a good claim for a foul in the second half he said nothing! He was better in the second half but it was very distracting.

Noticed this from the Blackthorn in the first half. Just looked like a petulant kid.

Have to admit both free kicks looked pretty soft to me, especially the first. Makes a change for us to get decisions like that.

Looking at the highlights you're probably right. I thought last night that the guy got the ball. Doesn't matter though, how great to see us score from a set piece.

Moaned moaned and moaned.
50:50s. throw in positions, freekicks, non given offsides, offsides given, he could see it all challenged the fourth on EVERY decision. As a spectator I find it annoying, it's distracting. Feels like gamesmanship but I don't believe it helps his team.
I asked in the match thread about this because, Appleton, Cook, Sherringham, and Ainsworth have been particularly bad.
For me however- Cook and Appleton at least had decency to manage their team as well. Sherringham and Ainsworth were more concerned with the Ref than there own players.
While they might have been 'soft' freekicks. There defence constantly choose to grapple our attackers and we could of had more in the first half.
How does DC behave away from home?

I thought the first goal came from a soft free kick, probably evening things up from one he gave against Tom Lockyer in the first half.
The joker of a Captain/striker who through himself to the floor in front of our bench, pretty much summed up their tactics. Where we sat, the result gave us great satisfaction have that you bunch of tossers

I guess that was the lucky brak we needed as it that had gone in you'd have feared another home loss, I thought the first free kick looked soft but then again WW won loads of soft free kicks in the 1st half.

When the ball went loose in midfield , Wycombe had a strategy that 1 player would block the Rovers guy who was going for it and the 2nd would play the ball. It happened time and time again and the referee and linesman didnt spot it in the first half. The second half was different and the linesman gave far more and maybe that is why they were complaining .
