Strange how all these players are now too good for us. To be fair to Smith be is. But frustrating to see so many ex players playing 1 or 2 leagues above us. Shows we had enough talent there I think, just players with the wrong attitudes. That is spot on. If blame was to be apportioned properly then it was the players who did not play to their ability. Ah well, move along, nothing to see here Some of them did. Smith being one of them.

Very sad to see Smudger leaving although it had seemed inevitable and expected. I shall miss his slinky skills and runs down the right hand side, definitely one of my favourite Rovers players in recent years.
Michael, if you should read this I would like to wish you every future success and happiness. You deserve it. Good Luck.

I think he might have gone even if we had stayed up. He is better than 4th division.

My main question is to CG ... who are the four women at the bottom of your sig? G. Kate Beckinsale, Elisha Cuthbert, Felicity Jones and Rosie Jones.

All the best Smudger. Gutted he's gone but inevitable given our position. Simply too good for us now. Strange how all these players are now too good for us. To be fair to Smith be is. But frustrating to see so many ex players playing 1 or 2 leagues above us. Shows we had enough talent there I think, just players with the wrong attitudes. I wouldn't go so far as to say all these players are now too good for us. Smith was a cut above in both his ability and application.

Just like to add my sincere thanks to Michael, an honest, hard working professional footballer the like of which is all too rare nowadays. I hope "Smudger" goes on to have a fantastic career (hopefully at Ibrox one day) I'm very proud he wore the Famous Quarters and wish him and Emma and all his family all the very best for the future. I'd also say thank you to Paul Buckle who brought Michael to The Gas from Ballymena United - credit where it's due. Good Luck Michael hope to see you Proudly wearing your Norn Iron colours in the Euro qualifiers ...You're a fine ambassador for Professional Football. FFS Members MOTM v Hartlepool 2013

On the brightside, I'm guessing we'll now be announcing a signing or two before the day is out........ It's going to be a very long day!!
