John Still has been sacked as manager of Luton town It seems that some of the pre season favourites are not performing as well as there owners would like Could be a good choice for Yeovil I bet he went straight onto their radar - if they go down or stay up (not looking likely) he has the experience to go forward.

Shame really - he did brilliantly for Daggers, got Luton promoted after replacing Buckle and kept them in a decent position last season... ...Football is a vicious game to manager - if we get promoted this season and then had a bad start next season, DC would be sacked very fast - seems nobody wants to give managers time to sort things out.... I think we can all now reflect on this comment...and let's give Nick Higgs some credit...whether it was blind luck or good judgement, many chairmen would have sacked DC in the summer (after the assistant taking on the job and then *getting* us relegated)...even more chairmen would have sacked him at the end of August the next season (15th in the Conference table), and yet we (players, fans and board members) stuck with him and it turned out better than OK....

if our budget is only 800k and we don't make a profit this season with a current average crowd of over 7000 there is something seriously wrong. We will make a profit I would have thought but only one guess allowed where that money is going!! It really is getting a touch boring for me that some Rovers supporters cant see that the club is cutting its cloth accordingly and it is paying off. you haven't finished your sentence, surely ? ha ha !

That's exactly the point I am making. It doesn't matter how big a clubs gate is. Its how good a club is run and how much is given out in contracts. Big gates mean nothing until then; we average 6,500 and our budget is around £800,000 which includes the big salaries of Parkes, Mildenhall, Easter, Lines! Luton average around the same yet may have a budget of £2,000,000 or £1,000,000. Accrington or Bury may well have a budget of over a £1,000,000 with crowds of 2,000. Many factors besides attendances/finances decide a clubs future as Rovers and even Chelsea know to their cost. if our budget is only 800k and we don't make a profit this season with a current average crowd of over 7000 there is something seriously wrong. I thought we all knew something was seriously wrong here. We owe millions on the mortgage, millions more on a loan, legal costs and God knows what else. Plus we are told that our current home is unsustainable. Can it get more seriously wrong .

If you and many others like you want to continue banging that tiresome drum of yours then carry on. Another good tip which you may find useful is to change the record now and again. Or turn repeat off on your iPod;whichever ha,ha.
