Shame really - he did brilliantly for Daggers, got Luton promoted after replacing Buckle and kept them in a decent position last season.
However, I remember their chairman, on their return to the FL, stating they would be in the Championship within 5 years and then the Premier League. Maybe he feels they won't match their ambition with John Still. Still feel they are ungrateful bar stewards given what John Still achieved for them.
Football is a vicious game to manager - if we get promoted this season and then had a bad start next season, DC would be sacked very fast - seems nobody wants to give managers time to sort things out. But hopefully Bristol Sport will give the manager of their men's football franchise a few weeks more.

Gates mean nothing when it comes to success. Still is a great manager in the lower league. Personally am always of the opinion that they should sack underperforming players rather than the manager. Players have it all their own way

Portsmouth average gate is 15,000 , Accie's is under 2,000 - just imagine the difference in gate receipts !!? If clubs are run properly, e.g. Pompey , Luton , Rovers then they should go up pretty quickly .......... as long as a good proportion of the money is reinvested in transfer money/player contracts.

That's exactly the point I am making. It doesn't matter how big a clubs gate is. Its how good a club is run and how much is given out in contracts. Big gates mean nothing until then; we average 6,500 and our budget is around £800,000 which includes the big salaries of Parkes, Mildenhall, Easter, Lines! Luton average around the same yet may have a budget of £2,000,000 or £1,000,000. Accrington or Bury may well have a budget of over a £1,000,000 with crowds of 2,000. Many factors besides attendances/finances decide a clubs future as Rovers and even Chelsea know to their cost.

And have to remember that not all League Two clubs are embroiled in a lengthy legal battle with Sainsbury's, too!

We will make a profit I would have thought but only one guess allowed where that money is going!! It really is getting a touch boring for me that some Rovers supporters cant see that the club is cutting its cloth accordingly and it is paying off.

Surely they are only "cutting their cloth" to unsure we can afford to start repaying the wonga loan should we lose the Appeal? The £30K a month interest payments will soak up any potential profit we make this season, but at least we might not have to sell the Mem to avoid Admin.

Lets just hope the board carry on cutting their cloth accordingly after this whole Sainsbury's debacle is finally over. Darrel Clarke has shown what he can do on limited resources as did Paul Trollope in the bad days of crazy contracts/wages.
