In my mind my first game as far as I can remember was as an 8 year old on a Tuesday night in October of 1982 at home to Bradford, again in my head it was a 3-2 win but I could be totally wrong on everything I've said there, a lot of mind altering substances were induced in the '90's affecting my memory. I was definitely stood on the terrace of the south side at eastville of that I'm sure, , never got to see the south stand before the 6 fingered mob burnt it down unfortunately though.

Watney Cup Final with my Dad on 5th August 1972. One game, one trophy - success rate reducing ever since! (with a few exceptions).

At Eastville, a night game v Argyle in the late 60's or maybe it was Early 70's? All I remember stood in the North Enclosure was that Rovers took the lead from an indirect free kick just before half time into the Muller Rd goal and everybody around me was happy. In the second half Argyle scored 3 times to win 3-1 and everyone around me wasn't happy.
Rovers played in a plain blue shirt and Argyle in white with a green hoop around the middle of the chest.

Sadly not a clue, probably 1967... On a positive note the last game I watched was a 3-0 win over the Daggers on Saturday ?

Bournemouth at home Feb 1973 - a winning start apparently. Remember it more because there was a big crowd and some supporters near me had red and black scarves - think it was in The South Stand.

My dad took me to eastville once. Was wet ham & blazing sunshine so must have been the may 1980 match (last game of season). He also took me to another hammers game which i suspect was the following season. For some reason we couldn't get in (all ticket? Or my dad conning a 10 year old??) and sort of watched from the bank where tye retail park is now.
First proper game was therefore a lot later. Port vale at twerton in 1989 play-offs i think.

I can't remember much about it other than being a bit bored. I definitely preferred the following season when there seemed to be unsuccessful assaults on the tote and pitch invasions every week. Smash and grab we're doing the business, we were promoted to the old Division 2 and we stayed there for years.

The season we went down from 2nd division (92/3 I think) 3-3 v notts county. Followed by the big mal 4-0 demolition of 82ltd. What a magical day that was.
