Yeah it's a squad game and we're definitely going to need our best players in good condition for the run in if we're going to get in that top 3. UTG.

".... Given it was inside the first 5 mins it seems a bit harsh..."
Where did you learn, Topper, that the laws are applied according to the stage of the game? I've missed that.

I'd imagine the tinkering with the squad was to give us the best chance of a win against playoff rivals Orient, on Monday. Right or wrong? Well, you can't argue with DC's achievements.

Same place as most refs I guess as there's usually far more cards dished out in the 2nd half than the 1st, but looking at the highlights again it's a shocking decision anyway as the defender clearly wins the ball. I can't understand why the ref didn't seek a second opinion from the linesman, although whether the red helped us more than Wimbledon is debatable.

If we fail to win it'll be 2pts, or less, but if we'd won yesterday it would be 4, or 3, pts from 2 games. In my view you should always go out to get your best result then worry about the next game when it arrives, but I've never managed a football club!

To be fair to DC asking some players to play 2 x 90 mins in 48 hours is stretching it a bit, and we wouldn't get the best performances from those players. That team he put out was more than good enough to win though, reminds me of the many changes we made before Hartlepool away. Good squad here.
If we win the next two because some of our players are a bit fresher, then I don't mind that at all. Especially tomorrow's game, very important we win.
I agree with 'play your best team', I'm sure DC does too, but its a bit different playing Saturday and then Monday.

I've just watched the highlights on YouTube and it was never a red card; the defender clearly got a touch on the ball! It's funny how the red card seemed to have more of a negative effect on us rather than Wimbledon.
