Definitely need a Goalkeeper, sign Gaffney on permanent and if Lines & Sinclair are going to be out for a while another midfielder.( preferably an attacking one ).

If NH very little money available if a new Consortium then DC will have money to spend.

Little chance of anybody but NH owning us during January with the result of the Appeal unlikely before February/March?
Hopefully there is money for transfers regardless

I think whatever we achieve it will mostly come down to what we have here now and who steps up to the plate when it matters. We will need cover for injuries etc the rest will come down to confidence, belief and a lot of luck imo.

Centre midfielder with attacking ability and physical presence would be great.
A winger or 2.
And a striker, Gaffney is a very hard worker and if there's nothing better out there then by all means sign him... Personally I'd still like somebody better than him but if he's as good as we can get, so be it

Like dc said it's got to be the right players to improve the squad,can we afford to get players better than the ones we have? I don't think so,so think it will just be a few loans nothing exciting just for cover

Realistically we are unlikely to get in more than two and maybe extend Gaffney I'd say Gaffney +2 would be a good month of business! I'm not sure the central midfield is as big a problem as people make out, so that'd be low on my wishlist. Gk and winger are the priorities for me. |

If Puddy is out long term Nicholls is surely better than Mildenhall? Likewise can DC really bring in worse than Gosling & Montano?
CM will be interesting as Lines must surely be on the way out, given his poor form this season?I

I know we are struggling with injuries in that dept but surely we cant play o clarke in a 4-4-2 we all know that does not work. |
