....and now you've got a non-league club.
Actual words said to DC 2 years ago roughly.
I never judged Clarke ahead of time - we were bouncing around of the bottom of L2 for years. If it wasn't DC it would have been someone else.
Look at us now.
Regardless of how we do this year, the terrace has its self respect back. The crowd were magnificent today, as were the team.
Never forget lads how bad this game can be. Relish these times as we had a long wait for it.
I know we have done nothing but the fact we all believe, we are all behind a team who play tooth and nail for the quarters, it's enough for me.
Well done DC and this group of players....feels like supporting Rovers again. UTG.

Trouble was there were plenty of 'Rovers fans' also saying this on the other forum .... And I still get the feeling sometimes there are some just waiting for us to fail with the appeal and on the pitch sadly

And I still get the feeling sometimes there are some just waiting for us to fail with the appeal and on the pitch sadly who cares about them? We've spent the last few seasons getting rid of the 'deadwood' on the pitch and on the back room staff...sooner or later we need to get rid of the keyboard warriors who are upset when we're doing well and the moaners on the terraces who can't understand why we're not 1-0 up from the first minute of every game....

They're a poison, I remember city in the 90s....fickle sods. Throwing season tickets on pitch, always berating their team, spitting on them even. Our underachievement has bred shithead behaviour and I do not tolerate it! That's partly why I loved Rovers - getting behind the lads when 0-3 at home. We had heart! I despise these negative bastards!!

Remember the away game at Altrincham we lost and fans tried to get on the coach to get at the players, the majority of whom played today. In retrospect going down was a blessing in disguise (although wouldn't have been if we'd lost at Wembley!) we now have players who actually want to play for us and they are growing together as a team every match, who knows how far they can go.

* Alfreton and it was a fan not fans? Not sure what's the point in this thread, why can't we just all get along after a good win without posters trying to point score? The minority of fans who blamed DC for our relegation were probably WUM's anyway.

Just enjoy us being good and your own view being proven right and stop being so bitter its ruining the mood.

Don't think we can afford to lose fans, even if they are moaners. I can remember people moaning even in the 73/74 and 89/90 seasons. Part of the game I am afraid. Agree about the keyboard warriors though.

Mind you if we keep winning, those of a fickle nature wont matter anyway! UTG!!

There's moaning and there's the sort of people who you get the feeling enjoy losing games so they can complain about everything from why Taylor didn't score s 1-on-1 and why the pasties were overcooked!

So some think a bunch of fellow Gasheads on the other forum are "poison"?
Nice.

The minority of fans who blamed DC for our relegation were probably WUM's anyway. I don't think anyone in their right mind blamed DC for our relegation and I don't care much for people who did. We were on our way down for years it was a matter of time. I'm so glad DC was given the job before we dropped out of the league though because he probably wouldn't be here now if he'd been our assistant right the way through that season.

So some think a bunch of fellow Gasheads on the other forum are "poison"? Nice. Would you rather pretend that we love everyone just because they purport to be Gasheads? I also think the club would be better off without the Morons who smacked the Braintree Striker around the Head last year, but dont think that makes me a bad person!

I think you will find there were fans on all forums moaning about the dire situation at the club and the non-league way the club was run? No Gashead wants the club to fail. Perhaps it would be good if in 2016 we could get rid of this stupid "us and them" self righteous attitude to other Gasheads and all pull together in the same direction. If DC and the players can do it why can't the fans.

So some think a bunch of fellow Gasheads on the other forum are "poison"? Nice. I wasn't referring to the other forum, I'm a member there too. I'm referring to the fans who berate our own team at the ground. I'd had a few when I posted that too so didn't twig that connection would be made.

I don't blame any fan for having concerns at the time, we all had them, but the ones who directed leaflets and abuse at the ground took it too far and it was uncomfortable to see.
