And a robin in his username. Good shout. Ah, so the lynch mob are up are they ? Nice to meet you. Actually we are (the Royal we) a solid Gashead of almost 40 years standing. You haven't quite put me off resigning from the site, but it's a close run thing. The fact is that I think we've got a very good manager and a good team, both of which are improving nicely with time. Gaffney has fit in well on the pitch, and the team has looked ready to move up a gear. Positive. UTG.
it's a rite of passage thing. I was called a shithead on the OF when I first joined up. Heh heh. I said passage.

I think Cambridge want a young striker from us in the deal, this was put to me from an old Cambridge player, he was rather drunk so I can't say it's 100% but it might make sense.

There's nothing like the roller-coaster ride that comes with being a Gashead. There was I thinking how great Christmas was, what a lovely family & friends I have, and how good the feeling was that Rovers were playing well, winning (at home too), in a nice position in the table AND that we had a decent centre forward. If Gaffers has gone and ain't comin' back, then frankly, it's been a crap Christmas / New Year. Your user name does it stand for Eggs for Breakfast and Robin Stubbs or E4 Band and Robin Stubbs?

Which one would you be willing to hand over? Personally, I wouldn't want to see any of ours leave. Ellis has his critics, but I think he is worth keeping.

Me ? none, but I think it could be Harrison or Lucas I guess. I think it was a loan deal.

They seem to be of the idea that they have helped us out a few times, now it would be our turn.

Lucas would be ideal for both clubs. He gets league experience, we get our man. I'd snap your hand off for that deal!

Maybe a good deal, yes. It does make sense I guess. But as I said I am not 100% on this.

Good question. It stands for 'Eggs for Breakfast'. I seem to remember as a young gashead there was a TV ad promoting eating eggs featuring George Best. At the end there was a chant 'E for B and Georgie Best'. My mates brother used to sing 'E for B and Robin Stubbs' when Stubbsie played for us. Somehow it has stuck in my head.....

I have been a really big fan of Gaffers, but it seems like I am not in a big majority. Look forward to some occasional good banter and opinions.

I can't see how Lucas would be a good move for Cambridge if Gaffers wasn't deemed good enough to play for them? As far as Harrison is concerned will he really fancy a move to Cambridge when the likes of Crewe have apparently been after him on loan?

Leicester and Bournemouth interested in Lockyer Bloody hell. I like Tom a lot. They will have to teach him how to pass the ball though.

How do you know they are after him out of interest?

Whether there's any truth in Cambridge wanting one of ours on loan for Gaffney (can't see that type of deal being sanctioned tbh), or even just hypothetically speaking, I wouldn't feel comfortable loaning them any of our forwards, with them being just outside the play offs.
We've nearly been burnt before doing this with Jamie Forrester to Lincoln.
On loan to York at the bottom of the table, fine, but makes no sense loaning to a play off rival. Because as we well know, they are bound to score a shìtload for Cambridge and Gaffney will have a dry patch, making a mockery of the whole situation when Cambridge bump us out of the play off positions..
