Lose a game by a single goal away from home and the heel stamping babies come out! The stats have us on top, we created loads, it just wasn't our day. Banging on about other teams games in hand and minutes against 10 men! Get a grip. We are exceeding expectations anyway.
Talk about Rovers Boom and Bust!

Absolutely it's crap like that which I expect from the inbreds down south not from Rovers fans. Today was always going to be difficult playing against a physical side in crap weather and only one match fit striker. Barnet have got a quality home record too. Bring on Oxford.

Or that he just thinks Gaffney will improve the team? Which looks pretty obvious tbh.

Fair point but I think every manager always wants to improve his team and players that have been tried tested and worked are obviously top of the list. If Harrison had scored two of those today DC would still be trying to sign gaffney because he knows seasons aren't successful or unsuccessful because of one game. He knows that Harrison blows hot and cold he's been here a while. If Ellis scores in the next game will DC suddenly stop talks with Cambridge ? No.

Thought the title was aimed at the players today.
Men versus boys out there for most the game.
Shìt ref, dirty opposition but if we spent less time whinging on the pitch we might have saved more time than their keeper wasted.

Hahaha love the title of this thread... I was at the game today as is pretty local to me. Thought the fans stayed with the team all the way to the end! I also feel strangely unbothered by this result... We absolutely played them off the park other than a terrible first 10 mins where Barnet came out of the blocks and we struggled with their long throws. Any other day we'd of had 3 or 4! Just wasn't our day! Thinking back to previous seasons in league 2, how often did we dominate an away game like that? Now we do it most weeks! Onwards and upwards! 3 points at Oxford will make it all better!

I'm on the other side, we need to find a good terrace malcontent to provide tactical advice. They have the answers.

No. I guess some of the pressure would have been off DC to sign Gaffney and he may have also had an harder time convincing NH to pay £25K/50K/75K/100K (delete as appropriate!) for a new striker, or even letting Harrison join them as part of the deal. As far as Harrison blowing hot & cold when was he hot this season just Cambridge away? I can't recall him having one decent game at the Mem.

i think halfway would be a good result for a newly promoted team so anything else is a bonus.
i would like us to sign gaffney but anything more than 50k would be crazy

Personally can't help getting a major down when we lose ,so if that makes i a f**king babber , i couldn't give a lady gardening toss ,still as long as everybody revels in our losses like the op then everything is f**king fine eh "Revels in our losses...." Nobody likes losing, but there are different ways to deal with it. There are also different ways of losing. We have a team of triers now which we were crying out for just recently. It's no good behaving like a babyar5e when there's no real need to. It's one game.

Unfortunately the reaction to a loss on here is entirely predictable! We will lose matches, obviously! Also just because our strikers haven't found the net recently doesn't suddenly make them useless, just as they weren't world class when they were in the goals. They are all capable, though, and need our support more than ever when they are not getting things their own way. Keep the faith. UTG!

Never great to lose whatever the stats say, but I suppose law of averages it's gonna happen sooner or later. The disappointment is that we seem to have dominated and had a man advantage, but still came away empty handed. I don't know what other options there were, but starting with Ellis does not work I think he's better used as an impact sub. Anyway back to the OP's comment's I think it's a good thing that we are watered when we lose the odd game as it was not that long ago when we expected to lose most games. UTG

One buffoon in the seats was giving Ellis a constant stream of abuse almost from the start. Shithead, lazy, useless, go and work somewhere else etc.
Can't see how that helps.
Buffoon left before the end as well.
