As some tell me I am not one of Nicks greatest fans regarding his statements regarding the Consortium and the current outstanding debts at BRFC.
However I'd like to say a big thank you for pursuing the signature of Gaffney, as you indicated to me at the Barnet game on Saturday.
Now if you discuss the terms of an investment in BRFC within the next two weeks with the Consortium you ARE aware of, I'd be a very happy bunny.

The press release said NH was on the phone every day to the Cambridge Chairman. Just imagine what it was like in their Boardroom. "Hi, yes it's him on the phone AGAIN, what shall we do? FFS just let Rory go and get this Higgs bloke off our back

Yep, i'm no fan of higgs but fair play to him on this, he and clarke have delivered. If he can now deliver the uwe with 100% ownership to original spec he will go from zero to hero. A lasting legacy can still be achieved, as long as egos aren't allowed to get in the way.

If the UWE gets built to full spec and we own it he will be a hero. (edit. Regardless of who pays for it and builds it) If it gets part built or he gives up full ownership then I don't think history will judge him so favourably.

Agreed we will be storing up trouble for future generations of rovers fans for a short term patch up job, we should learn from history.

Hugo Time to stop saying things like this, it has been said over and over that it will be a complete build to spec or nothing so no point suggesting otherwise

Topper - I did not have the opportunity to speak to NH on his own and it would have been inappropriate to discuss this when he was with other people.
Have no fear, I will ask him when I can speak to him on a one to one basis.

I understand what you are saying but because of the way it is to be constructed there are technical reasons why it would not be feasible to do a part build (I have been told these but it went over my head) I do believe it's 'all' or 'nothing' Also planning permission would have to be sought for a part build as it would be a major change to what has been granted The current contracts that are in place are also for complete build A part build would also affect the income streams

My definition of part built referred to the finishing touches, bars, facilities, gym etc rather than structural. The bones of the ground will be built but I'm sure that NH said that if this drags on then our ability to build everything (inc fixtures and fittings) could be at risk. This may have been all just part of the game during the legal process or may have just read it on here and attributed it to our illustrious leader.
