I think we will get someone in on a month's loan. Have a hunch about Michael Smith, the Swindon Town forward. Target man type striker who has scored goals regularly in league one, been on loan at Barnsley but struggled there but may do well in a team full of confidence. Could be good backup for Gaffney whilst Ellis has gone.

Why would Tubbs join rovers to sit on the bench

Why would Tubbs join rovers to sit on the bench Former Salisbury player who could well get as much, or even more, game time as Taylor (assuming he doesn't leave as well) if he can score goals regularly, it could also be a better option than playing reserve team football for Pompey? As fas as the OP's suggestion isn't it even more unlikely a Div 1 player will want to come here to sit on the bench?

Unfortunately when he is unwanted by his parent league one club and can't score a goal in 12 games for another team in league one then your next step logical step is to move to a league two club to prove themself. And the fact he is a target man and has done it at a higher level and at a local club like Swindon who could do with the cash makes me think it is a very realistic option.

Nobody, no need, we have Gaffers now. Three strikers isn't enough. All it takes is one injury and we have no way of changing a game of required.

Because he will want different types of striker. Taylor and Easter are one type. Gaffney and similar are another.

No chance of Tubbs or Richards, given who their parent clubs are.
Not that confident with Bodin as his replacement to be honest, ideal opportunity to try and get in somebody from a L1/Champ club for a few games I think.

Problem is what league player is going to want to come to Rovers to sit on the bench for a month, only somebody who can't even get on the bench at their own club?
