Yesterday brought home to me how crap our ground is compared to the Oxford ground 1. Disabled Parking right behind the Stand 2. Excellent eating establishments both inside and out 3. Good quality food and Beer at reasonable prices 4. Good sight lines from the Stand 5. Security staff very helpful and courteous 6. 3 Points The sooner we get the UWE Sports complex built the better

The mem is a dump and it doesn't help that the board have no intention on improving it.
Hopefully the UWE plan comes off!

Agreed. My only gripe would be the parking. Although plentiful and free, one road in and out caused massive problems. Took more than an hour to get out. If we do ever get the new stadium lets hope some thought goes into this.

None available to away punters at the mem - all taken up by home supporters. Oxford have many more parking spots for disabled people 2. We could but we will not happen until BB moves on - when was the last time we had a fast food van outside the ground... 5. don't make be laugh.... if they had a brain cell between them they would be dangerous

From the club site;
Car parking: The club has 30 disabled bays, which are currently fully booked by season ticket holders. There are a couple of spaces reserved for away supporters, please contact Dave Sams dave@bristolrovers.co.uk for more information. Also please contact the club if you are a home supporter who would like to put your name on a waiting list for when a space becomes available.
Disabled spaces: The home wheelchair areas at the Memorial Stadium can be found in the East and West Stands. There are currently 13 spaces for home supporters and three for away fans. The home spaces are currently fully booked by season ticket holders, but if away fans do not take up their allocation, there may be extra spaces available on a match by match basis.
So, if I want to take my son I have to wait to see if the THREE away spaces are fully booked, which are open to the elements so I can't take him anyway on health grounds.

Bit soul less too don't you think? I am not a fan of out of town venues like this, even more so when supposed benefit is traffic / parking. Car park exit was a joke, getting in wasn't much better

Pity they don't own it, chatting to an Oxford fan before the game, paying 700k rent a year to kassam, and only 12 years left on the lease.

I hate that ground I think it looks like 3 stands have been dropped in the middle of a carpark or like some kind of giant Lego game. Give me the Mem over that crap anyday. If we played our home games somewhere like that it would take half the enjoyment of watching Rovers away.

Due to the other expansion in the area i believe a new link road has been proposed, maybe that would help. Plus there is talk of a Park & Ride setup as well Also with the nearby rail & Bus links could also help
