Right Guys,
Just putting this out for comment .
Thinking of new ways to Boost the FFSC funds.
How about a FFSC Lottery Syndicate ?
The plan :-
This will be run alongside the existing FFSC.
On a monthly basis, i am proposing to invite members to subscribe .
Those who wish to participate would be required to make a contribution of £8.00 (For March SATURDAY ONLY draws, ie 4 x Saturdays in March hence 4 x £2.00 = £8.00)
I would then propose to Purchase Lucky dips for each Saturday in the Month
There are two options on how to administer this:-
1. 50% of contributions go into the FFSC pot, remainder used to purchase tickets
or
2. All contributions go to purchase tickets then 50% of any winnings go into the FFSC pot
Each member is only allowed a maximum of 1 x £2.00 donation per draw as this will be easier to administer any split of winnings
If this is a go-er i would propose to collect donations via the usual route (paypal, BACS or CASH) by the 25th of the month previous to the 1st month of ticket Purchases
I will publish numbers so all is above board
Sounds alot of Faff but im happy to do the admin / ticket purchase
Therefore if there is enough interest, i will do a trial run for March Saturday Draws
Whats your thoughts guys & Gals ?

if you are going to go down this avenue I reckon a ffsc sweep stake would be better, a bit like 50/50 winner takes half, the pot takes half.... at least you guarantee winning.... i'd avoid the lotto personally....

Cheers Greg, Had thought of this, but wondered if the chance of winning big (For both FFSC Pot and participants) would be more appealing ? Its only an idea atm

How about a bonus ball syndicate.
59 people pay £1 a week. We are each allocated a lottery ball number.
When your number matches the bonus ball number you win 40 quid. FFSC keeps the other £19.
Something along those lines.

If someone doesn't pay it can roll over etc

Thanks Hugo, That is a Good Idea Perhaps it could be a £40 club shop Gift Voucher ? Then the club wins both ways

I know on here there are some members who regularly bet on horses, etc why not use their expertise to form a betting syndicate.

Happy with bonus ball thing. Or we could do the health lottery. Better odds?

Count me in. I'll leave it to everyone to argue over the details. We could even use it to buy 50/50 tickets.

If we go down the line of bonus ball I will draw lots at random so there is no arguing about who gets what number.
I suppose people could have more than one number so long as they pay their subs.

I have looked at this before buying lottery tickets as a syndicate there are a few legal points you need to cover one of which is that every member of syndicate signs on an agreement I've no problem with this just pointing out an area that needs to be considered Personally would opt for the bonus ball and perhaps increase entry to £2.00 a go giving £1.00 for each ball sold to the club and yes the winner gets the same amount in club vouchers Count me in anyway

Then whatever the bonus ball is in the draw the member with that number wins meaning someone wins every week. And means there is either 52 winners or 104 winners if you do both sat and Wednesday

Make it as affordable as possible.

Sorry but I wouldn't want a £40 club shop voucher. Why don't we start buying premium bonds? That way we don't lose any money, it gets saved, and we might win.

Just an idea but how about instead of a lucky dip, the numbers are Rovers related. For example the numbers could be the minute in each half of our last 6 goals. At the moment those would be: 31, 8, 15, 27, 7, 33. That way if the numbers come up, we'd have Rovers players to thank for it!
