Just a suggestion, but as Truro will be plaing at Torquay next season, would the club look to have a weekend doubleheader in Torquay next July (sat v Torquay/Sun v Truro) if we have a cut of the attendance monies?
I am sure we would take over a thousand (including families) so the Torquay tourist board would be happy and it would help both clubs financially and Torquay sure need all the help they can get.
If we could get a good relationship going, we could get our first/second year pros to go there on loan. Even in National league South, Torquay would still get over 1000 gates so it would be good experience and a decent standard for the young uns!
If we never had DC it could well be us. There for the Grace of God....... etc

Could have been us if we didn't get all German with our penalty taking.

It would be interesting to see how much a 2nd season in the Conference had cost Torquay. Although they did lose their lottery winning benefactor in the summer so slightly different than us.

Believe they recently transferred their young goalkeeper to Wigan for £100,000 and he was promptly loaned back to them for the rest of this season. No doubt that has helped with a few bills.

Torquay and Truro are 85 miles apart and at least 2 hours away from each other ..... Plenty of other teams 85 miles apart. Why would Torquay want to let us play Truro at their ground .... Really does not make much sense.

Think I missed the bit in the original post that says Truro are playing at Torquay - now that is mad. Bit like us playing at Walsaw or Reading ......

As I was born in Paignton it's really depressing to see Torquay being where they are. Truro will be playing their games at Torquay next season as they are getting a new ground! The goalkeeper trains at Wigan during the week and then travels back to Torquay to play. It's all a bit of a farce. Thank god we went up last season as you never know what may have happened if we hadn't.
