Hi can anyone tell me of a radio app that allows you to listen to live gas matches on an iphone please?
Seems to always have an error message / rights issue when i use the bbc iplayer radio app??
Before someone mentions gas player, surely you can access radio bristol via iphone somehow?? Thanks!

There is a way as I have done i on my phone, you have to download a different brouser but it's alot of messing around and very unreliable so I gave up and pay £4.99 for gas player. You should too

You should too Yea i know £5/month isnt alot but i just wondered why you cant access it? Maybe a deal between between bbc and match commentary players (gas player), as all clubs hav them??. I either make games or work where I can't access a radio so more of a wondered why not as opposed to a real issue for me personally, but bet others wonder the same!

For me it works really well being a lorry driver that works nights, doesn't matter where I am in the country I can still listen to it live.

i'd subscribe to gasplayer, but sadly the news of a goal has hit the forum, and even the bbc news site before gaschat commentary catches up....
it's actually very irritating, even comical if your following the game on other media, but probably well worth it if your following the game on radio alone....

That's interesting and yea annoying as would get goal alert on phone b4 commentry! Sounds like best bet is to invest in a £25 pocket size DAB rad!

Radio and TV broadcasting of Football League matches is subject to licensing, I think the BBC's license does not include Internet. I would like to know why. Maybe someone should ask Geoff 20man

The only way to get commentary on the Internet is via the paid Gasplayer, whilst it may lag real time by a few seconds I can't see that's a big issue? If it is it then just rely upon on the forum/the BBC website to keep you updated.

I would maybe do the same in your situation as it sounds like you get some really good value for money.

It seemed to cut out or freeze everytime we got near goal. Use to drive me fkin insane, on the plus side i have learned how to brush my teeth whilst wearing a straight jacket.

It seems fairly stable to me and is the only way to listen to live commentary if you can't pick up the R Bristol broadcast for any reason.
