The Mem is under Fixed Assets at purchase value less depreciation plus capitalised (legal) costs. The debtors under "company" of £6mln in st the intercompany debt between BRFC 1883 Ltd and BRFC Ltd. The accounts that have been issued are the consolidated accounts so it won't show under the group position. Couple of points on this in retrospect... I thought we bought the Mem for about £100K as the rugby club were going under. Also, page marked as 6 (actually 9) the section on depreciation states "No depreciation is provided on freehold properties...". Mem ~ see Womble's comment True about depreciation on properties but they allow 5% to 33% for depreciation on freehold improvements which in this case could include the capitalised legal costs.

Sorry haven't had time to read all the threads but: i) How many clubs outsde the Prem actually make a profit? On a scale of things £1 loss is probably well well below average for a football club? ii) Can we give naming rights to the loan company in return for offsetting some of the monies we owe them - ie could the ground be called the Wonga Memorial Stadium for two years if they removed £500,000 from the money we owe? It's going to be called that anyway unless we find a way to pay them back.

I wonder how much a reduced capacity UWE stadium would cost £10-£20m ? I am sure NH said the stadium is being built such that we can keep raising the capacity. Wonder if we could start at say 15,000? Not sure that the South Glos plan would let us do that though. Be happy to be proved wrong.

I wonder how much a reduced capacity UWE stadium would cost £10-£20m ? Whatever the full sized stadium would cost less the cost of 12000 seats. The footprint has to remain the same or new planning is required.

I am sure NH said the stadium is being built such that we can keep raising the capacity. Wonder if we could start at say 15,000? Not sure that the South Glos plan would let us do that though. Be happy to be proved wrong. The plan was to build a 21,700 capacity stadium with the ability to put an extra 5000 seats in, internally, should they be required. This would only require a minor planing app as it would be all internal. If we then wanted to put it to its full capacity of 35000 that would require another full planning application. Now it seems he may still require help to do the minimum but I can't say what as it would be classed a rumour then the whole thread would be moved.

I wonder how much a reduced capacity UWE stadium would cost £10-£20m ? In the grand scale of things the cost will not be proportionally less. All the hard work is in the ground and setting out. Adding some seats and signs us not where the expense lies. Plus all the management costs will be nearly as high because 15,000 seats needs the same management as 21,000 seats. there would be small savings based on how long the project lasted but not loads...
