I agree with this, as of late I've been a bit more pessamistic Seems to be good news on paper, but i'm of the same mind(ish) , i really hope it pans well but there will always be a bit of doubt in my mind as to if this really is a good or bad move, Can't blame higgs mind as he's been slaughtered for ages so in reality would take the first offer that came in to get his money back (not trying to put a dampner on anything just trying to be realistic, but for today i will be downing some beers with a gert big smile. fully agree, I'll listen in on the conference before making too many assumptions and have a couple tonight to celebrate all the same, enjoy!

Fun fact: Wael Al-Qadi went to school with Nick Clegg.

Nick Higgs. Would you have him back? He's not gone until 1.30pm is he? I don't think the point of the press conference is to actually make deal then and there. Safe to say it's already been done.

You said "he's not gone until 1.30pm". I'm saying that he has "gone" in the sense that he's no longer chairman, if what they're announcing at 1.30pm is a takeover. So the "would you have him back?" comment is already valid, although very tongue-in-cheek.

The more I think about it the better it is for Rovers. A piece of land with a new stadium certainly makes us a better prospect in the future. Higgs selling to a royal family is a coup. Well done Gas fan Higgsy! I just hope tickets pieces doubt double, there's soul in the new stadium, decent club shop and a decent bar packed with Rovers piccies that I can frequent during the week as I live near by.

If NH's legacy delivers the UWE and a decent football team to play in it, then he's hardly the worse thing to happen to BRFC? Although if he leaves a club deep in debt playing stuck playing lower league football in a reduced capicity UWE being run like by somebody like Tan at Cardiff then that's a different story.
The 1:30 pm press conference could well be the most important press conference most of us have ever heard, assuming their full plans/intentions are divulged.

In fairness to Tan, he wrote off club debts last week I believe. He's certainly learning how to not be an arse. The bloke involved with us at least has experience in football, both at national and youth development levels. Gives me encouragement that it won't be a huge mess. Still sceptical though.
