Been thinking about the factors leading up to this takeover and how it's been possible to attract what appears on the surface to be a good buyer. In the various interviews it was stated that the clubs heritage and fans have helped seal the deal, also (not officially said) the prospect of a shiney new stadium planning permission. It has to be said that even though his tenure here wasn't great, Higgs has helped us to become a very enticing purchase for potential buyers and deserves some credit for that. But what about the fan base as a selling factor? imagine if we had a poor start to the season bobbing around low mid table, we would have surely seen low gates with gasheads not in particularly high voice, this could well have put the Al Qadi's off. Someone has already said imagine not winning the playoff final last season. That victory under Darrel seems even more significant than it already was. My point is this, it's funny how this situation has come about, even down to the fact that Horse Radice and Sainsburys f#ucking us has lead us to this outcome. Where would we be now? In UWE with Higgs at the helm similar playing budget hoping that it pays offf? Who knows. My final thought is this Wael geezer seems orite on first impressions, we can only wait and see but I feel positive. As for Nick Higgs, he may not be a gas legend but he is a gashead and I hope he continues to come and give his support. If I see him il shake his hand and thank him for his efforts. Onward and upward gasheads!!!
P.S Does this now mean we can get rid of Errea as our bloody kit sponsor?

From our darkest days last season has come what potentially could be the brightest and biggest day in the club's history.
It's a funny old game!

DC surely needs a brown envelope stash with fivers from NH, as from the lows of early last season he's turned the club around. Imagine where we'd be if he'd turned out to be Buckle MK2, fighting for survival alongside Torquay with fans boycotting the Mem/calling for NH to quit etc?

We always been an enticing prospect !! Up until 2000 we'd never even been in L2 and we had/have a large fan base that has dwindled because of abject failure. Don't understand the well done Higgs bit at all !!
