Hard to say really. What can we realistically expect to bring in with the new owners? What constraints do we have? So many factors and questions unanswered, which obviously they will be as its barely been 24 hours since the news was broken.. I know this thread is about the run-in, I dont want to keep starting new threads, just wondering what happens after this season? At the moment we've got a team full of grafters with dare I say it, not a huge amount of quality. With the new owners, how much investment can we expect in the playing side? It concerns me I have to be honest. We don't have an inkling. DC has got one hell of a job to manage it all starting with the run-in. I guess we'll see in this loan window, an indication of the owner's intentions! It can go a few ways (long term), do a man city and throw the kitchen sink at it within whatever FFP rules there are if they apply, keep what we've got and add to it, or have a semi clear out and build half a new team. We obviously dont want a team of mercenaries, not sustainable and is often the road to ruin, but equally if we've got an opportunity to really push on with significant investment in the team, are our current squad good enough? Has DC ever managed a club with money....I fear not? My heads in a bit of a mess thinking about it, I fully understand why DC seemed a bit stressed by it all on 20man post match...

I don't think it's that difficult. DC has presumably got funds to add 3 players to his squad. It's now his choice and I'd be surprised if he didn't have more money to spend than he had previously. If he can't do that we're in trouble.

Given Taylor didn't manage one shot today, Easter was also really no better surely we need another quality striker? If money is virtually unlimited I'd tell Easter & Harrison they are both welcome to leave now and we'll buy up the remaining part of their contracts.
Problem is until the UWE is finished how much success do our new owners want on the pitch, perhaps just a Play Off position is sufficient for this season?

Wael said on Radio Briz that we're aiming for a play-off spot, which 1) fits in with what DC has said, 2) is realistic, and 3) I'd be disappointed if we didn't get around 23 pts from 15 remaining games (average for play-offs is 70/71/72), I think most would. To be honest, I got the impression yesterday and today that the initial aims of el presidente are mainly concerned with infrastructure, and as long as we don't absolutely mess it up on the pitch it seems he'd like to keep some confidence and consistency in DC whilst the off-the-pitch stuff gets a complete overhaul.

He is going to say that as is DC. I believe that really they must be looking at Oxford wobbling

Three of Four decent players in on loan maximum. This would not upset the balance of the current squad as too many changes could have an opposite affect.
What is important with these loan players is that the loan lasts long enough to cover them for the play offs, should they be needed. None of this one month at a time stuff where by April they have to go back.

Why is Mansell not playing? The midfield seems a lot better when he's in it.

I wonder if the new chairman still has contacts at Swansea? Given that they are fairly close geographically could we hope to maybe get some loans in from them ?

Think he fell out big time with them if you do a Google search but I guess if they want players to get some game time that may all be forgotten now, but don't we want experiencedower league players rather than young Premiership players anyway.

The real matty Taylor back I'd prefer to see the back of the real Matty Taylor. Didn't somebody already have a go at you about your sexual references?! Lol

I think midfield is where we need to Improve on, someone creative and I think j.clarke needs to go...I think Lawrence is only in on reputation as he's clearly past his sell by date...keep him on the bench...defence is great but we don't have good replacements for our key players leadbitter/lockyer/Gaffney if there's any injuries???

For all the great work that's been done to get our Club back into the Football League, I'm afraid the harsh reality is some of our current crop of players have been left wanting on several occasions recently.
DC has done an amazing job with the resources he has had at his disposal, but his job is not to make friends and keep everyone sweet, its to win football matches.
I'm sure if he was offered the chance to bring in two or three Championship standard players, on the right terms, he would jump at the chance.
Yes a few players are to be upset along the way, but that's the nature of the industry I'm afraid.

yes of course but its not clear yet if the new owner wants to spend money on the high wages that are required to seriously improve the team straight away?
