I listened to 90 seconds, and need to get this off my chest now, and then enjoy the rest of the I'm-sure-excellent-webcast. Why do you guys say "SO" so much? Grrr.

I enjoyed most of this, but istm calling one of our players crap on, say, this forum is a bit dodgy but generally acceptable. After all, I'm happy to say, eg, now he's gone, Andy Bond really was crap when he was here. Not sure I want to listen to podcasts where it's done to current players.
Istm you can be all shocky and edgy and present yourselves as outspoken, etc, and that can be entertaining, but istm that isn't what you're going for. But if you're gonna present yourselves as having some sort of reasonable, considered opinion (which istm you are doing largely successfully) you probably want to refrain from calling current players crap. It's inarticulate and undermines the rest of what you say, in my view.
I mean, the rest of your analysis on why it wasn't working for him was actually pretty interesting, and reasonable.

I haven't listened to any of the gascasts before. I listened to this one and thought it was great so well done lads. For someone like me living overseas you guys are providing a really good insight into the goings-on at the club and a different view to the official line. Keep it up!

That was what I thought in the heat of the moment following his performance on Saturday. I perhaps should have said 'was' instead of 'is' - but when you record all in one go sometimes you may mess up a sentence or two! In general our podcasts aim to be an audio form of our opinions, just like others decide to time these etc on the forums; sure I agree overall that calling players crap is not on - this was our 10th episode and this will be the first time any of us has spoken of a player in such a way. But I think a lot of the compliments we receive from other listeners is the way we approach things honestly. If we weren't going to give honest opinions we would have 'gone official' with the club - but we want to be able to give our honest thoughts. As I say, 'Liam Lawrence is crap' may have been harsh. If I could change it I would have said 'was crap'... but to be honest if I'd recorded my thoughts at half time, i'd have been a damn sight harsher than that! It's hard to balance out what people are looking for, that's one of our biggest issues. Some say they want more swearing, less professionalism maybe, but some don't like it. We are trying to find the balance and hopefully 1 slip up in what must be about 3 hours of audio doesn't put you off too much!

I think this is a fair point. However, (without listening back) I think he said something along the lines of: "My initial reaction is/was Lawrence is crap", which I think is different from flat out calling him crap. After all, an initial reaction can be disproved (and hopefully will). But you're right, we are trying to give considered opinions rather than be 'edgy', so appreciate the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the rest of it.
