You can't blame him not wanting to be there watching the big love in with the new owners, kinda like being at your ex's wedding!

I expect he was doing the right thing, why turn up and ruin the fun for the new guy, all the booing from the faithful might not have sounded good to the new man. You might not like the guy but he has more honour than some on here. Fire away everyone .

Why is anybody bothered whether Higgs was at The Mem yesterday or not?
He is no longer Chairman and has sold his majority shares to Mr Al-Qadi.
He had no reason to be there

Doesn't deserve any criticism over not being there.

He was collecting glasses in the clubhouse and making sure there was enough red and brown sauce out for the chips

He had no reason to be there....Other than the fact that he is a Rovers supporter. But you are right, he had no more reason than me to be there. As Newmarket said, he was probably "doing the right thing".

It amuses and annoys me how people can be so vindictive, for all the bad things Nick is perceived to have done.
Let's not forget that he engineered a new stadium for the club, only scuppered because the local anti anything happening allowed Shamebury the wriggle room to renage on the contract and managed also to keep a lid on the whole takeover. Whether you think that is a reason to thank him, that is your business. I for one am glad he and his fellow Directors got there money back.
Onwards to Wycombe this weekend

NH is still a Gashead and a wealthy one at that, why are so many ready to ridicule him ? we might need him in the future, you just never know ! I am very excited about the future but I have to admit a little of the magic has gone, I am trying to figure out why and can only think it might be the feeling of a constant fight against everyone against us has gone, now it looks like life might be easy. Will every game be so important ? I just don't know ?

I wonder if the new owners will use Higgs in a consultative capacity over the new stadium. After all, he's delivered the blue print and I think I'm right in saying the work could actually start Asap. The delay will be as a result of the new owners wanting the freehold, and adjoining plots for other commercial ventures. Again, all within Higgs remit.
Interesting times.

I think Higgs is relieved not to be in charge anymore and it's a huge weight lifted from his shoulders. I just don't get what all the fuss is about, whether he was there or not.
