After some very below par performances from Lawrence since his arrival I would like to say as one of his critics that I was pleasantly surprised with how he played tonight when he had the ball he seemed to be a lot more confident and relaxed he also picked out some very good passes especially the ball to brown down the left who then literally put it on Taylor's head for his second. Hopefully he has settled in a bit and we can see more of the same. Not saying he's a world beater but certainly a much improved performance!

I've been confident that Lawrence would come good soon.
Tonight he did very well. He made the 'pre-assist' twice and could have had a third when taylor's was ruled offside. Him and Brown were great.
Still feel there's more to come.

Well done DC for sticking to his guns rather than going with public opinion. Hopefully Lawrence will kick on from here.

So much better on the left than part of a central 3. Very impressive first half.

DC said in his interview that Lawrence needed to get back up to match speed which is why he's been playing a lot lately.
I'm sure he was aware that his recent performances weren't good enough and hopefully tonight was a glimps of what we can expect from him for the rest of the season.
He did well tonight I thought

He had some way over the top stick in my opinion. He's clearly got ability, he played premiership and international football for goodness sake! The pace may decrease but the brain won't.
Give him more time in his natural position out wide in the Monkhouse role feeding Brown in time and time again and it creates goals. Today this worked a treat. Hopefully this level of performance will continue.

Looked a different player tonight. He showed a lot more composure when in possession and passed the ball so much better. A good player always knows when to hold onto the ball and when to release it,he did this very well tonight and this performance will do his confidence the world of good.

All good to hear, hopefully his earlier poor performances were just down to rustiness and getting to know the rest of the players.

Was it because he was on the left in a 4-4-2?

Lines always looked better without Sinclair and sadly I wonder if it's same for Lawrence too? Don't feel good to suggest that, but hopefully his groin problem won't hold us back if it creates a better midfield

I love the beard and think he's great, but Lines was superb at the final 3rd of last season and SS was out injured then.
