He's sh**. Glad he's doing well at Torquay, nice lad and all that. But he is sh**. He had a few chances and looked way out of his depth each time. Tho I wouldn't have worded it quite so harshly, I think if people face facts you are right 79

I would like them to stay up , as well as kidderminster but I think it is too late and I look forward to seeing them at W-S-M ? Kidderminster are going down, and if WSM stay up then they will be playing there. If WSM go down I can see THEM at Frome, my other team, who like the Gas have just won 5 on the trot, to take them out of the relegation zone for the first time since September

I know it's all about opinions but feel that's a bit harsh. Feel that he wasn't given a real chance, only became a FT pro when he signed for us and last summer was his first pre-season as a pro. But football can be a harsh place and DC felt he wasn't good enough enough, like you, and he went. Hope he does well for Torquay and keeps them up. UTG!

Coming from Paignton,Torquay were the first team that I saw back in '64. It's great that he's doing well and the fans seem to have taken to him well after a slow start. Spending my time watching Rovers now but would like to go there sometime towards the end of the season to see them stay up.

I do wonder if we have missed out on something here - but we are doing OK, and it is clearly better for Blissett to be playing regularly. Perhaps he was just a bit overawed in league football and/or backward in coming forward to push himself enough for DC's liking. Let's hope for the double - we go up, and Torquay with Blissett stay up.

Loved the guy to bits but he was hopelessly bad in almost every single game I watched him take part in. Delighted he's doing well for Torquay, he's still youn and still has plenty of time to improve.
Yes we could have kept him and hoped he'd develop. But would he get anywhere near our starting 11? Probably not.

In your opinion Henbury Gas (I actually think Easter is a very good footballer though he has lost a yard of pace) but I expect you were one of the ones saying Montano was sh**. Blissett was not given a chance to improve and whilst playing well in the friendlies was not given a fair crack of the whip after that for whatever reason. No doubt if Montano had not got the recent chance we would have been saying goodbye in the summer. Its all about opinion at the end of the day.

Why can't we just be happy for Bliss and Torquay? Excellent that both are doing well again, when it looked like they were both down creek without a paddle.
The former played a big part in our promotion push, and helped us get out of the Conf which in itself more than pays back the fee spent on him. Always tried his best, even if he didn't make the step up with the limited game time he had here this season.
I think Gaffney is a better player and both parties have benefited from him moving on, but why does that have to mean BRFC have 'missed something' or whatever?
