Don't shoot the messenger but it's being mentioned on both facebook and the Gas Guzzler forum that a deal has been secured with Crest Nicholson to sell the Mem for £18M subject to residential planning permission. Anybody else heard this ?

Anybody else heard this ? If it's on farcebook, then it must be true then. I suspect their maybe an element of truth in there but who really knows?

What happens if we win the court case? Thought Sainsbury have to buy it? Exactly this. I can't see how it can be true until the result of the court case is known. However, maybe it's a pre-agreement or someting.

What happens if we win the court case? Thought Sainsbury have to buy it? Confirmed yesterday in the interview with Lee Atkins that "damages" would need to be agreed, but I guess Sainsbury's would just sell it on to Crest N anyway? But isn;t this an old story as I'm sure I've heard it on one of the forums beforehand? I'm surprised no reporter has asked WAQ etc what the plans are for the Mem when we move out.

Anybody else heard this ? Its not been sold. But plan B was always to sell it for residential housing and there were a couple of suitors lined up with plans drawn.

Waste incinerator, loudspeaker testing facility, *slightly too small* velodrome....?
